McDonald's — Restaurant in Kirkwood

O stars is my true rating. Avoid this McDonald's at all costs if you can. I have lived all over the U.S. and this is by far the worst McDonald's I have visited. Customer service and the food were both horrible. I went through their drive thru at 10:30pm on a Tuesday night. I was the only vehicle in line. I waited 3 minutes for someone to speak to me as more cars started pulling in. She finally acknowledged me by asking me to hold one moment. I should have left. I gave her my order 3x until she finally got it correct. She asked me to pull forward to the window. I did and no one was there so I pulled up to the next window where I literally was ignored for another 13 minutes. She walked back and forth and never approached the window to apologize or to say it's gonna be a few minutes. Once she finally opened the window, people behind me were yelling bc of the wait. She told me she was the only one there and did not offer an apology or a discount on food. I saw two young men behind the counter dressed in McD's uniforms conversing with the woman and handing her stuff, yet she's working all alone? I got part of my food and waited for a medium fry. I finally got my order and checked my food. I found hair in my fries. I tossed em and will never go this McDonald's again. Pay attention to the overall rating of this McDonalds and do not let any positive reviews sway you. This is, hands down, the worst McDonalds in the area. You will save the headache by driving a short distance to another location.

The staff are slow as slow can be. It took 20 minutes of me sitting at curbside. I then came in to see what was going on and they had to search for my order on their screen. Then they assembled my order. This was after that 20 minute wait in the car, then having my grabs for attention purposefully ignored by the woman working the counter. Then my order was merely tossed on the counter without a word - not an apology, nothing!

Food is most often cold and orders are wrong. Fries are often shorted, and I have to hand them back and ask for them to be full.

Spoke to a manager today. Despite how busy they were he admitted to being in the back doing paperwork. He claimed that they are highly respected in the community and that they were just that backed up, (Yet I didn't see anyone in the drive thru have to wait as long as I did). And despite me trying to get him to understand my frustration, he said he had 20 cars in the drive-thru that needed help. So it was clear to me that I was less important than them.

I was in Kirkwood in the early AM and needed a quick breakfast. So I swung by this McDonald's, to pick-up a coffee and some type of biscuit sandwich.

As I arrived, I saw something I have never seen before at a McDonald's. There was no-one in line at the drive-thru. I'm not a normal Mickie D's diner, but I drive by a lot of them and there is always somebody in line.

I typically do not use a drive-thru, so it took me a while to figure out the menu flow. I immediately ordered a large black coffee. The coffee was hot and strong. For my sandwich, I ordered a Sausage McMuffin with Egg and then I saw the McGriddles and added a Bacon, Egg with Cheese McGriddle to my order.

The McGriddle actually had the best flavor. I actually pulled the sausage off my McMuffin and replaced the bacon on the McGriddle with it. The removed bacon did not go to waste, my fur-baby who was with me, got to enjoy it along with the egg from the McMuffin. When you travel with a dog, food never goes to waste.

The customer service was prompt, but for no one being in line ahead of me, the service was super slow. As I was at the window paying and getting my order, other cars did accumulate behind me.
