So we were looking to try something new and this showed up on our radar, it is a take on traditional sushi with a Latin fusion. Apparently the chefs are Japanese who were raised in the Dominican Republic, so I thought I'd give it a chance, it's not the only Latin Sushi fusion in town, that seems to be getting more popular. First and foremost the location isn't all that great, parking is limited and I don't know if they do delivery but they did have blocked spaces in the front for some reason, very limited front parking. The restaurant itself is clean and very appealing on the inside, and it has a nice little outside seating area. Sadly the curb appeal is what you expect nowadays in Orlando. The staff, particularly the front hostess was incredibly friendly and kind. She was running around as the restaurant had just opened and it had a pretty good size amount of people going in and out. Regardless of how busy she was, she always had a smile on, and kept us updated on our order. The order did take about 23 minutes to create, which is a little long for 2 items. So what we ended up getting was their appetizer Bao and a single sushi roll which came out to about $31 before gratuity. The truth is you can get so much more for your money in other fusion places. This was a takeout order, when we got to our car which was just 20 ft away, we opened it, and where shocked of how poorly it was packaged. For the sake of the pictures we had to reorganize the food a little bit. I'd like to take note that we ate this in the parking lot so it's not like it traveled and got disheveled on the ride. The sushi roll is very small, for a 17.00 sushi roll it is incredibly small. The bow had very limited filling as well. The flavors were good some of the meat was over cooked but still flavorful. Would I return, I am undecided. In a particular economy where you want to get what you pay for, this was good on flavor but failed on quantity. If you notice the picture with the sushi roll my hand is underneath it, trust me I'm not a giant, but you can see how small the container is.

Our first time here after it was recommended to us because of its fusión. We got there a little before 7pm and there was a short line. We were mentally ready to wait a bit and the wait to get seated was shorter than expected. Once seated, we waited... and waited for a little close to 10 mins until we asked if someone would come to wait our table. A little after that, a very nice waitress came and she was great, took our order, brought our drinks and the appetizer came in relatively soon. We had the Mofonguitos, they were 3 and the presentation was pretty nice but the flavor was nothing surprising. The menu said that they were made out of yuca but we did not taste the yuca at all. We ordered El Chapo and Chapi rolls. Food took a about 45 mins to arrive and again, presentation was 👌 awesome, flavor for El Chapo was normal, the doritos did not taste like doritos at all and they were not as crunchy as we expected. They were good but definitely not as good as we thought they would be given the ingredients. Chapi was normal in flavor, I was expecting the chicharron to be more crispy and the flavors to be more tasty. The environment, I have to say that their music outside was very explicit reggeaton. There were kids eating in inside and outside and Reggeaton was playing over and over and over with very explicit and degrading words. I think a mix of better music would have been nicer. Price ... a bit too pricey for the taste and size and ok if you count the presentation. Would we come back to dine in? Definitely no Would we try it again as take out? Hmm not sure. Maybe

A Disappointing Decline in Quality and Experience. What was once a notable spot for fusion cuisine has now become a case study in decline. Despite having made a reservation two days in advance, we were greeted by an overwhelmed hostess who insisted our name wasn’t on the list—until she reluctantly checked her messages and found it. Even then, we waited while a table was cleared, making the reservation process entirely pointless.

We ordered a cheeseburger for our son and agreed to an additional charge for the cheese, only to find that it arrived without it. His food came first, and it would be another 30 minutes before we received the first two sushi rolls—neither of which were intended for our table. Staff admitted the mistake but left us waiting even longer. Our daughter’s sushi didn’t arrive until 10 minutes after that. Oddly, after I voiced my concerns, the rest of our order appeared within minutes, suggesting a lack of urgency until pressed.

Unfortunately, the quality of the food did not redeem the experience. The churrasco sushi featured raw, red meat that was cold and sinewy. The bacon, presumably intended to add depth, was barely thawed and still fatty—undercooked and unappetizing. The overall preparation lacked the care and precision one would expect from a restaurant that claims to blend Spanish flavors with sushi artistry.

Despite noting that this was a birthday celebration when making the reservation, there was no acknowledgment or effort to make the occasion special. The ambiance has also shifted since the renovation, prioritizing a massive bar that serves only pre-mixed house liquor cocktails—no premium selections, no customization. It is form over function, style over substance.

The layout further confounds expectations. A single-stall women’s restroom, placed between the sushi counter and the bar, creates a visibly awkward line that detracts from the dining experience in a larger space that should accommodate more.

At best, this venue may serve as a quick takeout option, though even that is debatable given the underwhelming execution. With inattentive service, careless food preparation, and a lack of warmth or hospitality, this restaurant no longer justifies the hype or the wait. Those seeking quality cuisine in a welcoming environment would be well advised to...

We arrived at 11 and were ignored for almost half an hour. No water no waiter no anything. It was way too loud to even shout and hear the person a foot across from me so we went outside. Took forever to be seen out there and by the time a waiter approached us they told us we had about five minutes to put all our food order in. We barely were checked on but there was a ton of staff with earbuds just walking around looking at tables to pick up dirty dishes. Since there were not dirty dishes every 2 minutes there were just walking around for absolutely no reason. Certainly not to help or wait on us. Our waiter was busier closing for the night than waiting on us so I only had. My water refilled once after having to wave him down to ask myself. The bathroom was absolutely disgusting I was truly horrified. Flooded and dirty, I had to make sure I pulled my pants all the way up to not touch all the puddles of pee water on the ground. They must be broke because the soap was just watered down. Like they ran out and filled it with water because they can afford more. It was just awful. The food was good but not worth sitting in for. I’ll try takeout next time. Plus they have a security at the front or something but they obviously don’t respect their restaurant enough to use them. People causing nasty scene were not asked to keep it down or be escorted out. I’ve been to a chilis where someone cussed a little too loudly and staff came to let them know to keep it down or they would have to leave. Here there was one level from a domestic abuse situation and they just let it happen the whole night. This feels like a social media restaurant where the attention to detail for an actual enjoyable dinner doesn’t matter, but instead how crazy wacky the food and names of the food can be to “appear” hip and cool. I would be embarrassed if this was my establishment. Food is not good enough to ignore the abysmal service and atmosphere. And certainly not to ignore their filthy bathrooms and watered...
