We recently stayed at the Hampton Inn Kissimmee North and for the most part it was very nice and pleasant! I was able to get my mother her morning coffee and even the breakfast was quite good and it was an ideal location because it was close to our relatives who live in Orlando.
The only flaw was to wake up to the enclosed photo of feces that was thrown at our car probably during the middle of the night and curiously our car was the only one affected. Thankfully, we ran into two kind Samaritan employees who helped to clean our "rented" car so that we wouldn't have to drive around with dung on the back of it. I hope whoever did this really thinks about the direction of their lives or lack thereof. You know who you are... At least the party who committed such a vile act had the good sense to bring their own Bounty paper towel so that they wouldn't soil their hands. Unfortunately, the people responsible have already soiled their souls in the process but we pray for them to repent and accept Jesus as their Lord and Savior!
That said, we enjoyed our time here at this hotel and it is very modern, clean and within close proximity to all major stores and restaurants. Moreover, we also had the best sleep of our lives sleeping on these beds and the shower was phenomenal! We have visited other Hampton Inns but they weren't as nice or modern as this one and hopefully this Hampton Inn hotel will serve as a role model for others to bring up their hotels to code. We would have loved to have given it a perfect 5 but due to this unpleasantly stinky episode we had to...
Read moreBeware when booking with this hotel. I originally booked a reservation for my family through Expedia to stay here and no accommodations were made to help with the reservation. First they charged my credit card for the booking with a non-refundable policy that allegedly was Expedias policy and not their own. Then when I tried to change the dates of my booking with more than enough time before the reservation dates someone at the reservations counter said it was okay and then they later redacted that statement saying their employee was wrong and I was going to be charged an additional $300 just for changing the dates. Booking through a third party company that is affiliated with you should have the same policies as your hotel in itself. The reservations desk was dismissive and rude in helping me out just because they didn’t make any commissions off my booking. Then after calling Expedia to get the situation handled somehow my reservation was cancelled and they still couldn’t accommodate or help with the error from the system. This is not acceptable because everyone booking should be aware of these policies that only help themselves as a company and so much for customer service. There should have been no reason for me to call Expedia because they had to call the hotel to make the same exact claims I was making about trying to fix the reservation dates. This is a waste of people’s time and money. Now my family had nowhere to stay and we lost $300 on a place that didn’t even try to help accommodate our stay. So much for hospitality...
Read moreNO Water pressure.... We chose this hotel because of the location. When we got there the sprinkler system was on watering most of the lawn. We checked in and went to our room. The lady at the desk was not particularly friendly or helpful. We turned the shower on about an hour and a half later. It literally took 10 minutes for the hot water to get there. The water came out at a trickle through the shower head but there was plenty of water pressure at the sink.. I proceeded to go down to the desk and asked the lady at the desk what was with the water pressure. The lady at the front desk blamed the city and said they wouldn't give them enough water.. now mind you an hour and a half ago there was plenty of water to water the lawn plus there was plenty of water pressure at the sink. She also said the hotel was booked solid so that also had a bearing on water pressure. I have no idea why she would say that unless everybody was taking a shower at the same time... We did run into another couple who were in the elevator they were on the 5th floor and they said there was absolutely no water pressure on the 5th floor. If you have long hair or a lot of it, it's going to take you a long time to rinse or wash your hair.. this was generally a nice hotel. But no water/ water pressure is unacceptable.. I'm sure what's going on is they're trying to conserve water through the shower heads and so it's restricted back to a trickle literally.. so just now going in there's no water...
