When Pigs fly is part bakery part bar/restaurant. One door out front leads to the bakery, the other the interior restaurant. There's also a grass island outside (you see it when you drive up) where you can sit. That's where I always sit when weather and season permits. There's a little bar outside that serves drinks as well, alongside a corn-hole game. I BELIEVE dogs are allowed out there but I can't be too sure. One time I could swear I heard a dog person turned away, but last time I was there, I think I saw a dogs allowed sign??? Someone else can verify that part.

Otherwise the interior is a nice bar setting. Dark in color and modern rustic in appearance, though well enough lit at the same time. The rare times I've stood at the bar waiting for a to-go order... I've been treated very well, the bartender lays on some THICK pours of bourbon. Good value for a drink.

We've had the pizzas and all that when relatives are in town but my regular go-tos are the sprouts and the blackened salmon over a house salad. My wife loves the fish tacos.

The food is a little expensive I guess but it's hard to tell what anything is worth anymore. The quality is there to match the price so it'd be hard to complain about that.

So - the bread in the bakery side is clearly good right? It sells out almost every day. Completely. For whatever reason it's not for me. I DID enjoy the pretzels they used to bake but unfortunately they stopped that. Heartbreaking.

Their takeout is good, orders have to be placed by phone but it's always been...

Not sure I understand what the hype is all about. Had the vegetarian meatless meatball pizza. Which actually was very good, the crust was excellent, flavor was delicious. However, we also had the turkey BLT sandwich. And customized it a little bit to include the famous sourdough bread. I'm glad we actually tried the bread before buying a few loaves to put in the freezer. Very quickly determined that the sourdough bread was over hyped and definitely not worth the calories. It seemed very grainy and meely, it possibly could be that the bread they used for the sandwich was stale. However being that they are a bread company I highly doubt they would use stale bread and risk tarnishing their reputation. However the quality in general already did enough damage. Coming from New York up to visit Maine I definitely can distinguish amazing bread from ordinary mediocre bread. And I hate to report but the sourdough at when pigs fly aired on the side of mediocre. Had the bread on this turkey sandwich been extraordinary as I was expecting it to be, they would have received five stars. Had I only ordered the pizza and did not have any reference point for the bread. I may have also given five stars because the pizza was amazing. Simply do not feel that a bread company should produce bad bread. And even if it was just a bad batch or it was stale, the bread should have been tasted prior to making sandwich to make sure that the quality is up to par with the image they...

First time in Maine and stopped here for lunch just a couple hours off the plane with my wife. What an incredible experience!

Our server Dave took great care of us and walked us through his favorites being his first time here. He suggested the Brussels sprouts and fig & soppressata pizza and we got both. The Brussels came with a ginger/sesame sauce that was absolutely incredible. Dave made sure to tell us to toss the Brussels in the sauce that was at the bottom of the bowl and we ate every bite! Sauce was out of this world and they even sell it in bottles to take home.

The pizza was phenomenal. Fresh house-made moz and amazing crust/sauce. The combo of fig/hot honey/basil/and soppressata was so delicious. They also had an outstanding draft and wine on tap selection and David again helped me make good choices with their local craft beers. They even had an NA beer on tap for my pregnant wife to enjoy. My only complaint was that I live 5 states away and can’t come more often! Plenty on the menu that looked amazing.

It was so good I didn’t even take pictures of the food until it was gone or half eaten! Wish I could give more than 5 stars. Great vibe, great food,...

This place is awesome. We had the fastest service I've ever experienced in a sit-down restaurant. From the time we ordered to the time the food came to our table, not even 10 minites passed. We got a Margherita pizza, Korean BBQ chicken tenders, and a garden salad with grilled chicken. All were absolutely fantastic. The garden salad was *massive* and they gave me a whole chicken breast's worth of chicken with it. The pizza was some of the best wood-fired thin-crust pizza I've ever had. They also had a large selection of local New England beers and ciders on tap. There's a really cute outdoor eating area for the warmer months and a litte bread shop/gift store next door. The only negative thing about this place is the price of the food. It's definitely a little pricey for what they offer but given all the other pros I think it's worth it. Definitely a great place to eat and we'll be back the next time we're in Kittery!
