I’m so dissatisfied that I don’t know where to start. This place is cheap in all the meanings. I wish I checked it before I booked a table. When we came in I heard the lady in the kitchen yell at the staff “smile, smile”. Super awkward and unprofessional.Service was a bit slow and waiters didn’t know their menu. They brought us heated frozen buns with questionable oil which was yellow and over salted so you couldn’t tell what kind of oil it was. The not olive oil was “infused” with dried rosemary and chilly flakes which doesn’t make any sense. Dried herbs won’t help your cheap oil to get a flavor if you didn’t add it in advance. Cocktails were also a disaster. Featured cocktail with gin was nothing bur cucumber purée with liquor, it was disgusting as well as my over sweetened sangria. When I saw our food I didn’t know should I cry or laugh. On my appetizer plate there were 3! Yes, 3! Little neck mussels. Gosh. And my partner had three tiny pieces of the cheapest baguette “bruschetta” with horrible taste.... no flavor, so so basic, I would rather eat at Olive Garden... Well, main dish was even worse. My partner had haddock with “risotto” which was literally sticky water tasting mashed rice. Salt or pepper? No! No flavor at all!!!! What kind of talent does it take to ruin rice? Just add some salt and don’t over cook it, and of course don’t call it “risotto”. A person who cooked this food should be ashamed to call their “creations” real names. My crepe was edible, but absolutely generic. Asparagus on my plate was bland, no salt no pepper.... surprise! We came to this place for a restaurant week. It was a huge disappointment after other places we visited. It was pathetic and I will never come back again. I don’t think the chef has any real training, and that was the feel of the entire place. Don’t waste your time here even for...
Read moreI am very disheartened… I went to this restaurant for a bridal event two years ago and LOVED this place. The food and drinks were fantastic and the atmosphere was classy but relaxed. I decided to book this venue for a bridal party I am in for this past June. I spoke to the owner and he was so pleasant and friendly. He took down all the details of everything needed and told me he would contact me in a few weeks as it got closer. I didn’t receive a call from him, so I tried to call back and left three more messages with no return call. I looked on the google for the umpteenth time and it said “temporarily closed” but nothing is on their actual website as such. I feel terrible writing a bad review, because obviously this was a sudden closing with something unforeseen having happened. I just wish SOMEONE could have called patrons to let us know. Thankfully we were able to book another venue with such short notice (3 days prior), but I was looking forward to experiencing Misto again! I hope...
Read moreWe had a very enjoyable time at Misto this evening. We had never been here before so we decided to check it out since we had recently been given a gift certificate to this restaurant.
What a charming cozy place - love the feel inside. We decided to sitcat the bar and share some small plates and a couple of drinks. The people working there greeted us and made us feel very welcome. We had 2 shrimp dishes - coconut shrimp and firecracker shrimp, along with sweet potato fries. We were quite pleased with our choices and we definitely have them again. The coconut shrimp came with a delicious pineapple salsa and the firecracker shrimp had a nice heat to them and were served over a bed of some type of slaw that was delicious as well. The sweet potato fries were baked and served with some kind of dipping sauce that was sweet with a...
