First and foremost take a minute to check their website where it clearly states to make an appointment first. This is standard practice at any cat cafe.
I had my eye on this place ever since I heard it was opening and it did NOT disappoint. In fact, I would say it’s the best one I’ve been to so far and I’ve been to a cat cafe right in downtown “posh” Georgetown, Washington D.C. so I feel like that’s saying a lot!
First thing, the decor in the cafe is divine. From the fun wallpaper and coordinating gorgeous paint colors to the fabulous tables and furniture, it was all very cute and the furniture and tables/chairs were actually functional and comfortable. My kids and I got there very early so we enjoyed practically one of every scone and they were SO yummy. I also got a coffee with a splash of almond milk and I was impressed, finished the whole thing.
On the cat side, they have large windows along the entire room so it paid off to get there early and enjoy our drinks and scones. We had a perfect view of the little kittens, from the cafe side, sleeping right on their perches attached right near the bottom edge of the windows. They had about 5-6 cats, perfect for the space there, that were all kittens or young cats. Our visit was relaxing, peaceful, adorable and fun. We loved getting a chance to visit and also got to meet the owner and she is lovely and was...
Read moreLoved the cats. We had a great first visit. We were in Outer Banks on vacation and missing our kitties so coming here was perfect kitty therapy. We enjoyed the kitties so much we came back a second day. Unfortunately our experience was ruined by the staff pushing us to adopt. We spend our whole session choosing which cat we wanted and decided to adopt Bonita and her brother Hunt. Filled out application and were super excited to take them home the next day. But the next morning when I called to check on our application I was told we were not approved due to being out of state and them requiring a home visit. My daughter cried for 2 hours on your way home. The staff knew both days that we were from out of state, they should not push people to adopt when it's impossible for out of town people to adopt. This ruined our day, our view of the cat cafe and our trip. When if they would have just not BEGGED us to consider adoption we would have left with just loving kitty thoughts. All staff should be aware of this basic requirement for adoption and not get people's hopes up and...
Read moreSuch a cute place! This is my first time visiting a cat cafe. I’m a huge cat lover and just adore the vibes this little place gives off. It’s beautifully decorated throughout and very clean. In addition to their beverages and pastries, they also have adorable cat stickers, magnets, socks, earrings, and t-shirts available for purchase in their shop. They do accept cards. It wasn’t at all crowded as they require reservations in order to limit the number of people that can go into the cat room at one time which is nice. We went on a Friday early afternoon and it wasn’t busy. We were able to call when they opened and make a reservation for a couple hours later for our group. There is a limit to 8 people in the room at one time. I can’t speak to the coffee or pastries but everything smelled amazing! We plan to add this to our yearly trip going forward. Best wishes to the owner, you’re...
