Wanted to try Andy’s for the first time with my family. I went and saw they had mint chocolate chip and chocolate cookie dough. I decided I wanted the chocolate chip and asked the girl at the window for it in a waffle cone. She told me only chocolate and vanilla ice cream can go in a waffle cone, I said “oh okay that’s fine, can I just have the mint chocolate chip ice cream instead”. She said no and said they only have chocolate and vanilla ice cream. I was confused by this and said okay then how about just the chocolate chip cookie dough in a cup. She then said no again, and said they do not have ice cream. At this point I realized the miscommunication was that I was saying ice cream when I meant to say custard, but she was being rude and refused to help me with learning the menu, I tried asking for the cookie dough again- and she said no?? This confused me even more because I didn’t say ice cream anymore realizing my mistake, but she kept saying no to everything I asked for. At this point I was a bit embarrassed and confused, so I told her nevermind and didn’t end up getting anything. She wasn’t helpful at all, and it was like she was trying to make me feel dumb for not knowing the menu- but again, it was my first time. A simple nice correction of telling me to say custard instead of ice cream could’ve fixed it, but instead she gave me sarcasm. This was a short dark haired girl with freckles. I won’t be...
Read moreI am amending my previous review to 5 stars instead of 4. We went to get kid sundaes for Halloween since they were giving out free kid one topping sundaes. I used my concrete mixer coupon from their opening a new location.
These items were great! The kids and I all thought that they put more toppings on the kid size sundae than the small adult ones we got at the grand opening so the ratio of vanilla custard to topping was much-much better. All three of us agreed it was a billion times better than a big lump of vanilla with no toppings for 3/4 of it.
Even though these were free I would have gladly paid for them since everyone was so much happier with the taste and look of the items this time.
We will come back again and hope for a repeat of today. Perhaps the sad, tiny amount of toppings the first day on a one topping small sundae was a fluke (we will not be ordering those again anytime soon). I wish I took a picture of the first day so you could see the comparison, but it was so hot and everything started melting right away that we just dug in.
Also it is good to note you must tell them before you pay that you have the app otherwise you can’t get points later even if you have a receipt and you’re still at the window. If the app could be upgraded that...
