Clicking on the 2 star rating Google assumes you dislike the place that you are rating but I think that might be a little harsh of a comment to describe my visit. In the area as a stopover on the way home from Arizona with a group of 10 our leader saw the Krispy Kreme sign and told me to pull the RV in so he could get us some doughnuts for the trip home. Living in South Jersey most of my life the only experience I had with a Krispy Kreme was one that my wife and I had gone to a few times in Northern Delaware several years ago that has since closed. I don't remember that much about them just that their doughnuts were nothing out of the ordinary.
When the leader went in I decided to go in as well if for no other reason than to watch doughnuts being made so I did. Upon entering I noticed that there were some advertising coffee cups that looked like a good size and style that I like in a cup. What was missing though was a price posted anywhere telling me what to expect to spend. I tried to get the attention of an employee but they were all busy and the checkout line had several people waiting so I didn't want to get in the line just to find out they wanted me to spend $15 to advertise for them so I left. Had there been a posted price I might have bought a couple of them but was glad that my daughter did at least buy me one as a gift since it is a good size.
The 3 dozen doughnuts the leader bought were no better than the ones I can get at the Shop-Rite my daughter works at but they did cost twice as much. With the 10 people we had though I was only able to get 2 of the doughnuts so I can only base my...
Read moreI was visiting in Knoxville for the day and had this irresistible urge for some Krispy Kreme donuts as they are very difficult to find in the area to which I recently moved. I hit paydirt when I chose this location. Not only was the store fully stocked, the interior spotless and the outside parking spacious, I had to have had THE most wonderful Krispy Kreme employee by the name of Sheila Smith. Ms. Smith was an absolute delight. Here was an individual who loves her job and loves what she does and it shows. She took such personal care of me and anticipated what I wanted almost before I did. I LOVE KK fritters and Ms. Smith went into the back to make certain that she had enough to serve me, especially as I related how far I was traveling. She packed up[ my fritters as if they were gold - and for me, they are almost as such - just saying. She was professional, friendly, efficient and so full of goodness and kindness as to make me associate her goodness with the Krispy Kreme brand and how they started and why they grew as they did. I was hoping that there would be a survey to take on my receipt as there used to be. However, when I returned home I found there was none. This is my only way to bring to the attention of KK Management and all potential customers my written review here. You want a Krispy Kreme, then come to this location and pray that you are as blessed as I was to be assisted to by...
Read moreAs I entered I saw five workers talking and laughing in a corner huddle while three other customers milled about. I was not welcomed into the store and I waited for someone to come to the display case for a no morethan coupleminutes. As it turned out, they didn't have chocolate burgers (my favorite KKD chocolate cream filled and chocolate iced donut) and when the attendant was asked about availability she would not answer questions directly. Took six attempts to ascertain that this location did not regularly make those. After I politely rejected the alternative choices she offered (points for the attempt to cross sell) I explained that this has been my favorite from childhood and I was really craving one, I thanked her for her time and left as she made no offer to have them made while I waited. My experience, I have had other locations offered to make them up while I waited in the past. I received no thanks for coming in to the store as I departed, but I guess that's par since I wasn't welcome to the store as a patron either. As a long time Krispy Kreme patron and a stockholder of a few hundred shares purchased at IPO I was appalled at the employee behavior and lack of service at...
