I’ve been through Knoxville once or twice in the last few years and stumbled across this hidden gem my last time through. Stopped in on a very busy Friday night and was surprised at how warm and welcoming the environment was. Despite being busy, the owner still made time to come out and greet me and other patrons personally. After a quick chat on how at home the interior made me feel and the delicious smell seeping from the kitchen, the owner quickly scurried back into making pizzas like it was second nature. Within no time I was slid a plate with a slice of pizza bigger than a small child. A simple slice of cheese, yet so much more than that. The dough was noticeably crafted as if hours, if not days, was spent conducting the perfect recipe. The sauce had a nice tang, but was also sweet enough that it complimented the dough and the mozzarella cheese. It was as if small tomato angels were dancing on tongue. The real hitter though? That was the slice of lemon sitting on top of my pizza. Lemon on a pizza? What gives? The owner looked at me dead in the eye and said “trust me.” How could you not trust a man looking you dead in the eyes with flour all over his apron? One squeeze of the lemon across the surface area of my pizza and my life was changed forever. This place is something special, and not only by the food, but the atmosphere created my the people occupying the space. This is a special location that will exceed anyone’s expectations for pizza. Where else other than New York can you get a slice like this? The owner, Jeff and the GM, Chris, deserve Nobel Peace Prizes for what they have created in Knoxville. This will be one of the top places for...
Read moreHands down the best pizza, wings, and cheese sticks I have ever had and I’m not being dramatic. Let’s start with the pizza, It folds without a flop, the perfect amount of cheese, sauce to die for. All the ingredients perfectly complement each other. Wings- I’m definitely a wing snob. I won’t get wings just anywhere. But the locals were telling me they are the best, so I had to try them. I went with two different ones bc I couldn’t decide. Hot-Honey and Parmesan Garlic. Wow just wow… first bite, the temperature was just right, the wings were FRESHHHH and the flavor did not disappoint. Both were 10/10. Lets move on to the 1lb mozzarella cheese stick with a side of their homemade marinara sauce. First bite was like Hellooooo where have you been all my life. Most mozzarella cheese sticks are dry and the cheese sticks to the breading and hollow in the middle. Baker Boy Pizza Co. cheese melted in your mouth, it was not chewy at all, and it definitely wasn’t hollow. I was so full but couldn’t stop eating. I was in town for three days and ate there twice. I couldn’t get enough. Staff was super friendly, met the owner Jeff on day 2 he was professional and very passionate about his establishment. Very clean and inviting atmosphere. If I could only give more than five star. I’ll be back soon,...
Read moreThis place? Unforgivable.
Baker Boys in Knoxville should be illegal. We ordered pizza, wings, and mozz sticks—and every single item was a disappointment wrapped in grease and false hope.
The pizza? Floppy, bland, and straight-up sad. I’ve had frozen Totino’s that slapped harder. Mozz sticks were giving “rolling pin filled with paste.” No flavor. No texture. Just vibes—and bad ones.
The wings? Somehow both soggy AND salty, and they came sprinkled with lemon seeds. Be so serious. Who hurt you??
Everything was cold on arrival, which would’ve been fine if reheating helped. It didn’t. It just highlighted how truly inedible this food was. We ended up tossing the leftovers—and the money we spent felt like it followed them straight into the trash.
We always support local, we’re not picky, and we usually give grace. But this? Nah. This place SUCKS. Hard. Can’t believe anyone recommends it.
Also, the owner? Rude as hell. Genuinely seems like he hates customers and joy.
Save your money, your tastebuds, and your dignity. Go literally anywhere else.
