Kay's Kupcakes — Restaurant in Knoxville

I stopped in to grab a few cupcakes for my son's birthday. She always has a fantastic selection. She had double the normal amount due to special orders. I got a dozen different flavors. Then I got a couple sugar-free for the diabetics and a couple gluten-free for my daughter and I. Then I added 3 cookies just because they looked so good. Most of them were filled, all of them were delicious! The gluten-free was moist with a "normal" texture. I don't like chocolate, and that was this weeks flavor. It was filled with fudge. I wasn't sure, but tried it anywsy. The flavor was perfect, not over the top, but enough to make my chocolateloving daughter happy. I am beyond greatful for this! The sugar-free was Banana Cream this day. My husband and dad both said they were fantastic! (My dad has been there other weeks and hasn't tasted a bad one yet.)

Before Helen opened her shop, I made it a point to follow her to vendor fairs and pop-up shops to get her cupcakes. And every time KNIA offered a coupon, I was there! I take cupcakes to work on occasion too, but usually just home where I have to remind people that they could last more than a day! I love picking up her desserts at Spire and as far as cupcakes, the peanut butter cup, German chocolate and strawberry are probably our favorite!
