After witnessing the sheer ungrateful arrogance of Last Days of Autumn, I’ve decided to make this my last visit—and I strongly encourage anyone who values their dignity and their dollar to do the same. It’s bad enough that their beer is forgettable, but what really leaves a bad taste is their sneering, self-important attitude. They don’t just serve drinks; they serve up a heavy dose of smug condescension, acting like customers should feel lucky just to be tolerated in their presence.
And what kind of crowd do they actually cater to? The kind that thrives on pretentious elitism and performative nonsense—the same people who love preaching about fairness while happily watching a business alienate its own paying customers. This place reeks of that entitled, collectivist mindset where gratitude is replaced with arrogance, and the only thing flowing more than the beer is the attitude that they know better than you.
Here’s the reality: plenty of other breweries actually appreciate the people who keep them afloat. So instead of supporting a place that treats capitalism like a dirty word while happily profiting off it, I’ll be taking my business to those who actually understand the value of a customer. Let this be a warning—abandon Last Days of Autumn the way they’ve abandoned basic business sense, and spend your hard-earned money where it’s respected.
Edited for rebuttal: It’s disappointing but not surprising that instead of addressing the substance of my review, you’ve chosen to distort it and deflect responsibility. Let me clarify a few things since your version of the story leaves out some important details:
It wasn’t about the crowd or the wait times — I understand that events can get busy. What I took issue with was the dismissive and condescending attitude from staff, which you conveniently ignored in your response. The problem wasn’t the logistics—it was the tone and treatment.
Let’s be honest about the setup — That 20x40 tent you mentioned? It only had three tables added, with just two chairs at each. One of those tables wasn’t even for guests—it was being used as a secondary beer station. Most of the tent was completely empty and unused. Outside the tent, the entire fenced-in parking lot above the lower stage area was blocked off with zero added tables or chairs. The only available seating outside the tent was the usual picnic benches in the lower stage area—those are always there, so they hardly count as additional seating. For your “biggest night of the year,” this level of preparation was inadequate at best.
Running out of food — Running out of food an hour and a half into your biggest event of the year isn’t just bad luck—it’s poor planning. You knew it was going to be a packed night, and yet you still weren’t prepared. That’s not on the customers—that’s on you.
Respect does go both ways — But respect isn’t earned through defensive finger-pointing and passive-aggressive replies. If you want customers to approach you directly with issues, you might want to start by making them feel like their feedback is welcome, rather than brushing it off with condescension.
Lastly, you might want to consider how fragile the craft beer scene is right now. Breweries are closing all over the area because the market is oversaturated and interest is waning. The fact that you're still in business is already fortunate—but if attacking customers’ honest reviews becomes your approach to feedback, you may not stay in business much longer. I stand...
Read moreA true Knoxville GEM!! Really cool, laid back vibe, great variety of beers, well crafted, and the service was very friendly and fast!! Now about the food... EAT IT ALL!! You can't go wrong with ANYTHING on this menu!! Full disclosure, Im from Philly: I RARELY order a cheesesteak outside my hometown, BUT I went on a hunch (mainly cuz I saw this jawn uses Amoroso rolls!!), and BOY AM I HAPPY I DID!! Tasty, good quality thin sliced rib-eye, finely chopped, with the BEST DAMN beer cheese I ever had, on the perfect, fresh, toasty, crusty outside, soft inside, hoagie roll!! When I tell you I didn't even put ketchup on this jawn, should say it all!! 😋 Also got the Pit Boss (huge!) and while meat (juicy, tender, and LOTS of it!) could maybe have a lil more seasoning, it is well made up for by the tasty bbq sauce on the side! Slaw was very fresh and well made! Rec the "Young Nathan Jr." Beer was DELISH!! Thank you, I will def...
Read moreA gorgeous Wednesday night, looking for an outdoor patio with a bold beer. Found it here. Throw in a Ruben sandwich and nibble the night away.
A little nondescript from the outside, this little hideaway opens up into a cozy bar with tables and high-top seating, plenty of beer options, a respectable menu and friendly service. The inside vibe has that low-lighting ambiance that helps you relax, chill. Outside on the patio, a mishmash of tables and chairs on uneven ground and I found my calling for the night. Listening to the locusts and looking at the empty stage, I must come back on a Friday night for the Boiled Shrimp and live music, noted on the website.
I’m just making my way around Knoxville so this is my first time here, but it...
