Nixon's Deli — Restaurant in Knoxville

We love Nixon’s, but they are closed more and more. The Middlebrook location is constantly closed. The hours are stated on the website. Last night we checked the Bearden location. The website showed they were open. When we arrived at 5:10, staff members rushed inside and locked the door. There was a note written on a napkin stating they were closing at 5:00. Ugh! There's no place like home. This location is managed by the owners daughter. She goes 100 miles a minute, but man, I can't say enough good about her. Speaks volumes about a place that has started making your sandwich before you even walk in the door. These folks are hard working, and maybe I'm biased but the Bearden location is the best of the bunch. There's only 4 locations left so please go and enjoy it!...

First time visiting. Food was amazing! Best Ruben I've ever had and the smokehouse potato salad was great! My husband got a roast beef sandwich and I ended up eating half of his LOL. Asked to double steam mine and they did. We live about 45 minutes away but I foresee this becoming a regular trip! Only complaint, they don't have diet coke LOL that's ok though, I'll settle for...
