Over a 40 minute wait both to have our orders taken and to be served. We were dining in.If I could I would have given a 0 star but in this case I can only give a 1 star.
My husband ordered a cheese burger with baked potato with cheese and sour cream and a clam chowder soup with unsweet tea and I ordered only a Chicken Pecan salad with sweet and lemon. When she came to take our orders, 10 minutes after we arrived she asked if we wanted bread while waiting and we said yes because I was hungry.
And we waited and waited and waited for our food. The waitress kept telling us every time she came to refill our drinks that it would be ready in 2 minutes. I don't remember how many times she came to refill our glasses but it was at least 5 times if not more because there was more ice than liquid. She also brought another bread basket when I asked her if it was going to take long. And said they were redoing the chicken because it was hard. Before she came I was even contemplating asking for the manager.
Finally our food came. My husband started eating his soup and found it slightly warm as if it had cooled down. I looked at my salad and it did not look right. I had bacon bits and egg whites. There were no pecan nor cranberries. I saw her and waved her down. She asked if I wanted to see the manager and I said yes. In the meantime she asked if I wanted a dessert, on the house and I said yes, a brownie to go. She took the salad back into the kitchen and came back to our table and told me that the manager was making the salad herself. She couldn't come see us first?
Only later did the manager come with the salad after the waitress came back again to refill our drinks. I said to the manager that we were both unsatisfied with the service. She took my husband's soup to the kitchen and added a cup of soup to the old bowl and did not give a new bowl of soup *(I only found this out later when I asked him how he found out that the manager only added a cup of soup-she told him). I was shocked that she did that and said that to him. She is the manager of the restaurant and that was unprofessional.
As I had literally lost my appetite I asked the waitress for a to go box and brought it home to eat tomorrow. She gave us the bill (the manager did remove the salad but that was it). I asked for my brownie and she said she would ask the manager. She came back only to get payment and completely forgot the brownie. We payed and left and we will never be coming back again. Disgusting service. How many times can a person say the food will be ready in 2 minutes when it's not? And when you want to speak to the manager but she cannot come because she is making your food but comes only AFTER it is made? And does nothing else (oh but she did compt the salad, gotta give her credit for that).
I wonder, do they ever get undercover food reporters and give them bad reviews? This is a restaurant, a publuc place of business. Is this how they treat their customers? There was a full staff in the kitchen, enough waiters and the place was not busy. I took picturesband a video. There was no toilet paper in the handicapped stall either.
Oh btw, there was another couple with a child there. They arrived at 7:15 and when we left 7:38 they had not.been served yet. I wonder how long they had to wait before...
Read moreWe arrived at restaurant and went straight to the host station and waited to be seated. We waited and waited and waited. Finally someone came up to the front and helped us to a booth. He had his hair hanging in front of his eyes, it was very hard to hear him speaking due to him speaking very softly. We were seated at the first booth which was very close to the entrance of the building which as we found out it was not a very warm place to sit and you also get overwhelmed with cigarette smoke from people smoking right outside the front doors. My husband went to the restroom and almost threw up because someone else had literally vomitted all over the floor. He did inform our waitress and someone immediately went to go and clean it up. Still not a good thing, I think everyone knows once you smell vomit it stays with you for a bit. Our waitress was absolutely the bomb. She was very personable and knowledgeable of the menu. I had placed an order for a steak and asked for it to be cooked medium, I also asked for one of my sides to be a loaded baked potato with extra butter and extra sour cream. When I received my steak our waitress asked me to cut into the steak to make sure it was cooked to my liking. This was cooked as a well done steak, so she took it back and had ordered another one for me. When the 2nd steak was brought to the table I cut into that one and again it was overcooked. It was a medium well steak. Very SMALL amount of pink in the center. I was so hungry and the rest of my party I was with were almost done eating, so I just accepted the steak as it was. They were nice enough to make my sides again along with the new steak, which was great because they actually remembered to bring the extra butter and extra sour cream I requested initially. I really appreciate the effort that was made to try and correct the cooking error, but when I want a medium steak I still do expect to cut into my steak and see pink and blood. This was not the case. We will...
Read moreIf I could give it a lower rate I would. Please only read if you want to be grossed out. We entered the restaurant. No one was at the front. It was 4:15 in the afternoon. After flagging down someone, we were seated. The waiter was very nice but was being overworked. He had several tables and was not receiving much help from other staff. When the meal came, it had to be sent back twice for not being correct. For instance, the honey drizzle chicken did not have any honey and was burnt. The mashed potatoes did not have any bacon and were cold. The campfire potatoes only had half of the ingredients. The waiter himself admitted that there had been several problems with our order- he apologized but did nothing else. Because it was free pie Wednesday, we both got a Carmel slice to go. They came out. I wanted to make sure that mine had pecans, so I opened the to go box- only to find a very long black hair laying on the pie. I quickly sent it back to the kitchen, and seconds later the waiter returned with a "new" slice. For my sake I am going to believe it was not the same slice with the hair removed. My friend got the same pie but did not check hers until we got home. What we saw disgusted me and made her physically sick. If it had just been the one hair in mine and the other problems I would have not put out this review, but laying on the top of her slice like a garnish was a dark curly hair and an extremely long finger nail. YES I SAID FINGER NAIL. Just typing that made me want to throw up. Even though we had several problems we were not offered anything and the waiter did not think it important to let the manager know about the flowing locks left in our pie. To say the least I will not be returning to this establishment. I genuinely have never experienced something like that. A finger nail is not a tasty treat. Wear some gloves or clip those things before cutting the pie. I am just grateful that we did not- knowingly- eat any...
