Our family had reservations for 10 people tonight at Taco Madres, None of us had ever been there before, so we thought we would give it a try. Upon arrival at around 4:00 on a Sat. evening, one would expect a few cars in the parking lot, there was about 5. The inside of the restaurant was very clean with a good atmosphere, and our waitress was very good. We all ordered our dinner and the service was good, our food came out in a reasonable allowed time, Food portions were enough to satisfy and prices were in line with most. I had ordered a Beef Taco Americano, a Chicken Taco Americano and a Chicken Arroz Con Polo. I started in on the Beef taco and found it to taste very bad. I placed it back on the plate, and my wife ask if there was anything wrong, I said this beef tasted terrible..... I gave her a small bite, and she said that it tasted like it had been frozen and then cooked, or just bad... several of our group said that the beef did not taste up to their expectations. I then started to eat the Arroz Con Polo, and found it to be so salty, that it was almost uneatable, My Wife's cousin and daughter ordered the same thing, and both said theirs was also too salty to enjoy.... None of us complained, as I figure If you don't check out something first, your almost as guilty as they are.... but.... after thinking about it, this might be the only way for them to improve...
Read moreFirst of all, I need to give a shout-out out to the management and staff for the delicious meal and exceptional service. What am I talking about? I found this unique restaurant near where I was and was starving for some good food. I grew up in Texas, so I am absolutely going to eat good Mexican food when available. I walked in and asked about gluten-free options with the cross-contamination. The manager not only personally made sure the staff in the kitchen could make it happen but gave me ways to make each dish within reason gluten-free so I could eat. I loved the decor of the restaurant. Especially the phone booth, which is an old icon back in the day. I also found out they host social events like international night on Saturday events, for example, with live music. You can even book a VIP table for birthday parties and special occasions. The best part is the birthday cake with flaming fire coming out of it. I liked this touch and idea to make it extra special / memorable. They have some amazing menu options and ideas. I didn't get to try the drinks, but they looked amazing, too.
Don't take my word for it. Go try them out for yourself and see what I mean.
Would I recommend this restaurant/ venue? Absolutely! Would I return? Absolutely
Hats off to the staff and management on a great...

If I could give a 10 star I would. Unfortunately the only highest rating available is a 5 star.
I had the chicken fajitas. The guacamole was heavenly! The rice had taste. Most Mexican restaurants don't. The salad was fresh. I don't know why but most places the salad tastes old. But this place, it was fresh. The salad while a bit more liquidy was most tasty 😋 and the Sweet Tea was good.
I took home the left overs and asked to bring some salsa and she brought me about a cup to take home. The chips were good even if you ate them with no salsa.
The waitress was so friendly and helpful. When I asked if she had plates from other countries she explained that while this was a Mexican restaurant, they had Peruvian, Honduran and Colombian specialties.
Don't come here expecting cheap meals. It's a bit on the high end but it's worth it.
The restaurant feels like you are in a pretty warehouse. The music playing since we arrived is Mexican singers.
All in all, I give this place a There was one when I came in but not sure if it will be there when you get there. rating and we...
