First of all, only take-out is offered. I ordered chicken lo mein and 3 pork lumpia. The first thing I noticed was there were salt and pepper shakers for customers to use but no take out packets. My food was ready when I got there and the lady in the front was nice enough. When I got home and looked at my food, I was disgusted. The noodles were flat, unlike any lo mein noodle I’ve ever had. There were a v small amount of sauce and veg, a few slivered carrots, celery and cabbage. The chicken had clearly been cooked completely separate from the dish and added later. The chicken was diced up and dry with no flavor. The lumpia had a decent taste but I bet would have been better if the oil they had been fried in was fresh. The wrapper was a v dark brown color. Probably the worst part about this meal were the pre-made sauces that were included. What vaguely resembled apricot sauce? was in 2 containers in the lumpia bag. One was watery and the other was congealed. First and last experience. I...
Read moreCame here after long vacation in Gatlinburg, Filipino family of three... The workers weren't even Filipino, did not know Tagalog. Friendly but I was disappointed to come to a Filipino restaurant just to find they weren't... We ordered pancit Canton. Simple and how do you screw that up, right? Too salty. Waaay too salty! Ordered lumping shanghai with pork. Was okay but lacked vegetables. The sauce was disgusting though... Watered down Thai chili sauce. I understand it's expensive but it's 75¢ and the lumpia were small... Would've rather had it unwatered down and paid more! Ridiculous. Bought broccoli beef and faced the same issue... Way. Too. Salty. Fried rice was okay but lacked flavor. poor to mediocre food and I will not be coming back. Also the tables were dirty with no aircon. Door open and bugs in. Dining room and kitchen in same area so there was so much oil in the air. Take a bath after...
Read moreI ended up eating here because Philippine Connection on Magnolia hasn’t been consistent over the years and I love the taste of Philippine food, but this place is becoming equally inconsistent. They close at 6pm according to google, but no one answers the phone when you call after 4pm and when you walk in after 4 they say they are not taking more orders. The first time I ate here the food was great, second time ordered the same dish, but was given a kid size portion and the taste was off. The kid size portioned meal was at the bottom of the bag, almost like they were praying I didn’t look at the order until I got home. They knew they was wrong. If they can be more consistent with the flavors, hours and portions I don’t mind spending my...
