Burger King — Restaurant in Knoxville

As a former employee of this Burger King, let me inform the rest of the web about the practices that go on here. First of all, the employees that work at this Burger King do not care about the public or about serving them good food. They are there to make a buck, and only to make a buck. If an employee gets hired on that does care about the customers of the store, they are sumarily fired for one reason or another. The Store Owner Dewayne Setzer has no idea about customer or employee loyalty. He simply does not care about such things. The only thing he cares about is making sure that this Burger King operates and that he is able to make money.

The food is atrocious, the customer service is similarly atrocious. Recently one of the best managers of that store, was removed from their position because she expected the employees to actually work and present the customer with good food at a decent level of customer appreciation. The employees regularly discuss sexual fantasies with management, they regularly discuss drug use with management, and feel free to eat whatever food they might have messed up.

Two employees, sisters recently hatched a plan to have one poor employee fired because they did not like the way he looked, and did not like the fact that he was customer oriented. Employees genuinely cuss customers while the drive through window is closed, and if you want to have an order messed up, make sure you go through the drive through.

This is the worst Burger King in the history of Burger King, and the company that owns it, used to be the best in the business, sadly they have decided that good employees are not worth keeping and that they only want employees that look pretty.

Today I was reminded exactly why I never go to Burger King. I came through to get an icee (because Krystal’s machine was down). While ordering, I realized that the spicy nuggets had returned. (These were the only reason I ever ate at Burger King before.) So I was excited to get some. I ordered two orders after paying, I received very soggy nuggets. I went back inside to get fresh ones, and the ladies at the counter gave plenty of attitude when explaining that the nugget should be soggy, because there is a sauce on them now. I was unaware they had changed, so I still requested fresh nuggets (even with a sauce, the nuggets should be crisp) and said I’d wait. I watched several bags of spicy nugget be put in the warmer for orders. The manager sent most of them to the drive-through, and then placed one order in a separate bag in the warmer. She then proceeded to request three more orders to be dropped of spicy nuggets. then those three orders came up, I watched her pull one order and put in the bag with the other order of nuggets that has been sitting in the warmer for 3 to 5 minutes (or longer) and then hand it to me. The bag was literally dripping sauce to the point I had to go in and throw away everything because who could enjoy that? Especially knowing that you waited for around 15 minutes for that. Just go anywhere else on this exit, honestly. The management is rude and the employees...

There was a foreigner there that did not speak good English and he was taking our orders in our money and we told him three times how we wanted this one hamburger and we got to the table it was totally wrong and then when I tried to complain about it and reorder he stood to the side listening while the manager stood there and told me well I didn't take the order and that's how I served it and I said well you should put someone up here that knows how to take in order and send it back to you, I also told her evidently she don't know her job which is to oversee a floor manager who missed to make sure everybody is trained proper to do their position including the shift manager and she said I am the floor manager and I am the shift manager I said well Burger King has just lost my business because they are trying to make this a self-serve restaurant evidently and I was totally dissatisfied plus the vegetables was hot which I wanted cold such as the onion and tomato and pickles and the french fries was cold which I wanted hot and the tea and the only thing good in the place was the Sprite plus the floors was nasty and there was only five workers there and two of them was standing back doing nothing and that is my neighborhood Burger King and me and my mother will never go back there and we have lived in this community...
