Zaxbys Chicken Fingers & Buffalo Wings — Restaurant in Knoxville

Employees are friendly, quick service always - that is very hard to find in Tn. Sandwiches with sauce are pre-made and sit for quite some time before serving. Last 3 times we ate here the bread on the sandwiches was so soggy they fell apart upon picking the sandwich up. we threw the bread out and just ate the chicken each time. This time the bread was so soggy it was inedible and about half the fries were so soggy they fell apart when you picked one up. It takes a long time for fries to get that soggy, that tells me it sat in sauce for quite some time. Akin to preparing a bowl of cereal 30 minutes before you eat it. Who wants that?

The location in downtown Knox has the same problem. I understand you must prepare food ahead of time, but maybe put the sauce on the sandwich at the time of ordering? Pour the cereal in the bowl so it’s ready but don’t pour the milk until it’s time to eat lol.

Unfortunately I eat a variety of fast food often - but Zaxbys is the only fast food place I’ve eaten at where I would consider the food “disgusting” or truly inedible at times. I do not have a sensitive stomach, but the bread has made me gag...

Love Zaxby's! Normally, Zaxbys is consistent and offers delicious food. My partner and I visit this location when I'm back in Tennessee, unfortunately I don't have a Zaxbys near me in Florida. Ordinarily, I would have given a 5 star rating(wish I could give 4 1/2 stars ). The food quality and taste was excellent! It was served fresh and hot. My partner had the black and blue salad, and he devoured every bite! I had the 3 piece Zax Pack, also excellent. Here is the reason for lower rating: my 3 pieces of chicken were incredibly small, we are talking chicken nuggets territory! My partner remarked my chicken looked like shrimp. Also, staff was efficient but lacking greatly in customer service. Therefore, I'm saddened to give a 4 star rating, which is not normal for Zaxbys. I decided to eat here after my dermatologist appointment. This Zaxby's is located at the Powell location. Dined in on a Friday around 1:00 pm. The inside of this Zaxby's was super clean. The lady employee who took my order was very nice with a smile. I ordered the Zaxby's nibblerz combo. The combo came with 3 nibblerz sandwiches (1 chicken tender, Zach sauce, on a soft fresh roll (3 of them), crinkle fries, & a Coke product drink or unsweet or sweet tea. Self serve drink machine with FREE REFILLS if DINING IN. My friend ordered the Zaxby's 3 piece tenders combo. The chicken was juicy, hot, & breading tasted good to me. Fresh hot seasoned fries.
