Arrived at this location at 2:31pm today. No one was at the counter to take my order. A few mines later someone walked by and said they would be with me in a minute. Once they arrived to take my order I had to repeat it twice, one white privileged individual to another white privileged individual. I then asked if they offered a military discount and he told me no, but he can for me? Not sure that makes sense. Anyway after paying he told me they would bring our order to us. Everyone at the restaurant already had food on their table and there were no cars at the closed drive thru. It is currently 2:45pm, still no part of my difficult order, one banana split and one blizzard, has arrived to my table. Clearly there is a reason this location is not busy, I should have known upon arrival the service was lacking. It is Saturday afternoon and this place is bending ran into extension. So many other restaurants have close due to poor service yet the owners are clearly absent, clueless, or just plain stupid. They need to hire undercover patrons to give real-time feedback, like this review that they are getting for free while I am still waiting for my order. It is now 2:50 and the blizzard just arrived. The gentleman who brought the order asked if we had the blizzard, though our order number given to us at the register is clearly placed on the end of the table closest to him. I asked about my banana split and he said he was going to go make it now. It seems to me the best practice when preparing an order would be to prepare the entire order at one time, but what do I know, I am just the consumer of slow service at this Dairy Queen. The good news is that I live closer to cone palace in Kokomo and though I usually go there, I thought since I was on this end of town, I would stop in. This may very well be the last time. It is now 2:55pm, my banana split just arrived to my table. To the owners, Fire your staff or the consumers of Kokomo...
Read moreThe girl at the counter pressed yes when the card machine asked if the price was the correct price. She had NO right touching it considering it's MY card that MY money is on. & she didn't even try to catch my attention in a polite manner to let me know the machine was waiting on me. Then they were talking about me badly at the counter like it was a joke. Then a bigger group came in & got there food & Icecream before me & my partner. Then we could still here them talking badly about me at the counter while we were eating. My partner looked up there wondering why & one of the girls told him to stop looking at her. Which is not the proper way to talk to a customer & they shouldn't have been talking that way & the manager standing right next to the girls did absolutely nothing. The girl that was at the register had an attitude the entire time we were there. So I went up to the counter to talk to a manager & told her what was going on & in a non serious tone she said she'd supposedly have a serious talk with her employees. They obviously need retrained in customer service especially the managers for allowing the employees to treat us so poorly when she was not even a foot a way from them. The manager should've had more control of her staff & not let them do & say whatever they feel like. I will not be returning to this dairy queen due to very poor customer service & thinking they have the right to press yes to the correct price with MY money. & after my family heard about it they said they don't go to dairy queen for poor...
Read moreI came into Dairy Queen tonight as I have several times this week and noticed a young lady with braids working very hard. Making ice cream with a smile on her face. She obviously had 4 or 5 more orders it seemed after mine. What was alarming and sad to me is a manager Becca (I asked her name before I left) stood by on her phone! It appeared she was scrolling and enjoying what she was watching for the 10 minutes I was there. Finally the young lady working hard sweetly asked for a little help as (Becca) looked up with a disgusted look and totally ignored her! Itâs very sad how young employees are treated here. It wasnât as bad the several times I was here over the past week or so as it was tonight so I had to write a review! Be a role Model managers! Help these kids out! Show good customer service. More importantly GET OFF YOUR PHONES! We will still patron this store as Iâll keep an eye on these young employees. GOOD JOB (Iâll find out her name soon) YOUNG LADY! Keep smiling and keep serving! Youâll go FAR in life! Definitely further than where...
