Kokomo Fish Chicken & Gyros — Restaurant in Kokomo

The family was in the mood for something different, definitely wanted to try the Catfish here for awhile. Tried the Catfish filet dinner keep in mind there are NO substitutions for the fries or it is a $3.99 up-charge. The fish was really good but extremely thin for all the breading that is put on there, it's a cornmeal breading. They obviously use a powder seasoning on the fish because some were seasoned differently than other peices. We ordered fried mushrooms which were pretty good for the $3.99 price, I also ordered hushpupuppies and we only got 7 pretty small round ones but we're tasty. I also ordered the perch filet dinner and I thought it was way to fishy for me, you also get coleslaw with your meal and It was absolutely disgusting it had a bitter soapy taste. Super small place, just big enough for the lobby and a couple of chairs. I got the gyros with fries and a drink for about $13. Sandwiches do not come with a side or drink. Portions are very big and food came out hot. The drinks are in bottles, I wish there was a soda machine but I understand that the place is tiny and there probably wouldn’t be any room to put one in. I've actually been eating here for awhile and have never reviewed them. Absolutely love the chicken tenders and fries! The chicken is always nice, big and crunchy pieces of fries goodness! They have this seasoning that they sprinkle over it all, which makes it even better! When my kids are here in the summers, this is what they request. The guys are all pretty nice as well.
