They are so UNPROFESSIONAL!

TLDR = Will tell you anything to get your business but will not follow through. Will epically mess up your order and will not deliver on time. So if you're looking for an HONEST bakery for your special events..BE WARNED... AVOID AT ALL COSTS!

My order was a simple birthday cake, now IMAGINE if this was your WEDDING cake! Be warned!

It's about maintaining your customers contracts.

We went to this bakery because of their reviews.

Sadly they're ALL FALSE.

I went to this bakery at least 2 weeks before hand. I wanted a custom cake ordered. I spoke to the owner. We described in detail what we wanted. A BLUE cake. We even settled on the colors as she showed us what she can do. We had asked her ahead of time on that day, if we can get the cake on December 26th for my daughter's birthday. She agreed. I told her I'll drop off some decorations for the cake as my daughter loves butterflies. A few days later I dropped off the decorations.

On December 21st, I got a call from from the owner asking for me to pick up the cake early on the 24th instead of the AGREED delivery date of the 26th. I asked her why the sudden change as we expected a December 26th delivery. We had asked SPECIFICALLY if they were opened in the 26th on our initial order. Otherwise we would have went elsewhere. She lied to me and said the person I spoke to, didn't know they were closed on the 26th! (I spoke to her! The OWNER!) So.. after telling her how unprofessional it was, I agreed to pick up the cake on the 24th. I had to find a place now to store the cake elsewhere as we wanted to still surprise our daughter.

So December 24th came. We came to pick up the cake early as we agreed. The blue cake we wanted (the shades of blue we agreed on the date of the order) turned out PINK! PINK! They couldn't even deliver on the requested cake color! So they said to wait a moment while they correct the order and they made it WORSE! The owner then asked for another hour to correct their blunder. So we came back in an hour. The cake came out okay but will NEVER GO ORDER FROM THEM AGAIN! I'm almost afraid that they may have also messed up the ordered cake flavor as they're so INCOMPETENT!

The fact that they messed up the agreed delivery date AND messed up the actual cake color design is so unforgivable. I do not care that they offered a discount. I didn't care for the discount. All we wanted (which was totally reasonable) was for them to follow through with the actual order and stick to the agreed delivery date. Will advise all contacts to avoid them. Cakery Bakery does pastries, cookies, cupcakes, and sells individual slices of cake which is SO NICE. Last trip I picked up a slice of Lemon cake, a slice of their classic Marble with Bavarian Cream filling and chocolate chips (oh. my. God.) and a slice of strawberry cake. Even my husband who can pretty much take or leave cake was grooving on the slices.

Cakery Bakery does exceptional custom cakes that are as delicious as they are beautiful. For my bestie's recent birthday I asked them to cover the entirety of the cake with frosting Hellebores, my friend's current favorite flower. For cake flavor I asked for German Chocolate (though I am an avid fan of their Marble with any flavor filling, besties loves her some German Chocolate). The cake was EXQUISITE and the German Chocolate a choice we'll definitely go with again. Bestie took some to work and got raves then froze the rest in slices. Even the frosting flowers were delicious, and decorative frosting isn't always.

I had read good reviews about Cakery Bakery, and since they're in my neighborhood, I decided to give them a try for my birthday cake. I was having an '80's birthday party and gave them an 80's design for my cake. Well, needless to say they did not disappoint. My cake turned out better than expected. It was absolutely perfect 3 tier cake! Everyone at my party couldn't stop raving about the cake, it was a hit. Such a fun design and delicious!
