New Taste of India — Restaurant in La Crosse

Manager stumbled into the kitchen apparently under some altered state, there were 6 EatStreet drivers waiting for food my order was over 2 hours late, during this time several drivers grabbed there food and left , when a female driver asked about how long it will take (she’s in the 2 hour wait club) the manger asked where is your bag? No no bag no food! She stated she saw several drivers leave without putting food into bag, he yelled at her, snapped his fingers while gesturing to the door, finally a cook came out, I spoke to him and apparently the missed the order and offered me two mango lassis, when the food finally came out the manager wanted to inspect the bag, throughout this he had asked me 7 times what I ordered and I showed th order from EatStreet I told him let me just take me food, so I was going out the door and another driver coming in accidentally bumped in to me and I dropped one of my lassis, I just kept walking out and told I did not want I anyway, half way to my car mr wasted manager comes to parking lot and yells “what’s wrong with the food” I yelled back that I was upset it took over two hours to make... his response “so what is wrong with the food” And he raised his arms up like he wanted to start a physical alteration so I just left, if you eat here get it delivered this manager is intoxicated yelling at other customers I will...

I really love this place, food is usually great BUT their customer service is horrible and super weird. Before I decide to write this review there was couple more things happened before like; -They told me my order gonna be ready in 20min. When I get there after 25min. They told me they forgot my order and offer me to wait 20 min wait w full price. while ago I ordered at 3pm true east street pick up, they told me to come pick up at 5pm WHEN I GET THERE !!! I get there on Sunday at 8pm and the guy in front desk told me directly we’re closed, I was like “aren’t you guys close at 10pm?”that what it says about on the door. He goes “we’re closing early today”. I walked out and my friend told me to call them ask what was the reason so I called them the same guy picked the phone right the way. I asked him that why they close early even there was couple table dining in? He said you can place an order for pick up( which he could tell at the first place) so I order for pick up, he said will be ready in 15-20min. I got there and luckily my food was ready I double checked my ticket by the way. When I get home and opened our food bags. It was completely different food then that I ordered. The food here is spectacular. It’s quite a pity that it comes served with terrible customer service and poor accountability. We arrived at 8:30 on a Sunday evening and the door/online says they close at 10:00. Even so, when we asked to be seated, the did not make eye contact and awkwardly communicated that they were closed, without any further explanation. We then called to ask why and complain but, then, he asked if we wanted take out. So, we order that and they said it would be 15-20 minutes. It is quite unclear why we could not just be seated instead. They continued to allow the other customers to eat when we could have been in and out in the amount of time, or definetly before 10:00.

It is one thing to close early due to maintenance of any kind, but the least a professional business could do is communicate with their costumers, whom they are providing a service too. Frankly, it is just irresponsible and a horrible business model. I wish I could say going for the delicious food is worth it, but—time and time again—they short us on spice level, side sauces, and provide soggy Nan and old rice. If you are going to be open until 10:00pm, provide food at a quality level until then, or don’t be...
