Cock & Bull Villa Roma — Restaurant in La Grande

Initially I called at closing and they were very nice and accommodating. They offered to let me pick up our order even after closing. I was happy until I got my food home and there was a mistake on our order and they were closed. They didn't put chicken in the Chicken Alfredo and they put strawberry on the cheesecake after confirming it was new york cheesecake. It would have been fine... I understand there are extenuating circumstances and mistakes are ok. But, I called today to let them know what happened and they said it was my fault and I should have been more clear. They didn't even offer to make up for the mistake. I wouldnt normally right a review, but the only thing that was fresh and well prepared out of our 3 dinners, was the cheeseburger. The Alfredo noodles were soggy and the chicken for the chicken parm was old and burnt then smothered in red sauce. If they were going to just serve old food they should have told us it was to late to order. Again I understood it was late and they were closing so I would have been OK with it. The burger and 2 meals came to almost 45$ which isn't crazy but if I wanted old food questionable food I would go to one of the many fast food options in town. I guess just don't order late at night. where to start? stood at doorway for like three minutes while waitress and staff fluttered around so we took a table. flies! everywhere. waitress finally shows. gets our drinks and dissapears. flew all around the place. obviously understaffed. comes back we dont hear about any specials till we ask...takes order and comes back with a basket which contained 1 fork and three spoons and 1 napkin. odd. anyways the food. we ordered meatball appetizer and garlic bread. the neatball was more bread crumbs than meat and void of any taste other then said bread crumbs. garlic bread tasted like soap we all agreed. i got chicken caccitiore, friend ordered liguine in clam sauce and other guy got a french dip. chicken- had like 6 small pieces of chicken in it and the veggies were def outnumbering the meat. sauce was ok but nothing memorable. clams...more water than clam sauce...like too much lemon juice...was for sure watery and buddy said taste was non existent. dip? my partner told me it was way salty and told the waitress the same. she says "oh yeah, thats how we make it" and walked away. not even an offer to get him something else or maybe comp him a slice of cheescake or something as it made the...

As soon as you walk in, you can see how dirty the restaurant is. We sat down on old dirty cafeteria style chairs and could see spider webs in the corner. Our server said she worked there for 13 years but could not answer simple questions about the menu, like how big the steak is or what Malibu chicken is. I ordered a steak cooked medium, and when it first came out it was rare. I sent it back and they brought it back well done. My wife's potatoes were spoiled and the soup tasted like it was a couple days old. The final straw was when flies started to land on our table. We spent $20 a plate for gross, inedible food. Don't eat here. Save your money and go...
