The girl at the window actually was using the spoon at the window with no gloves mixing my blizzard that is no where near full and then she licked her hand and handed me the blizzard. I paid extra for extra toppings and get this. Ever since they re-opened after Covid it's been a joke. The food is always cold or stale. *Disclaimer the manager on duty tonight a young man did give me a free blizzard after I called. So I wanted to say thank you for that. But the regional manager or owner needs to come in and train the rest of the workers on how to do their job and be courteous to their customers. I mean you can see all the bad reviews for this place in the last year. Do better Dairy Queen!!!!!

That's barely even enough to dip one chicken strip in. I had a 4 pc. Basket. This is not the 1st time this has happened either. What a rip off! Sorely disappointed !

Twice now i have been confronted in an aggressive and rude manner by a female employee with dyed black hair, a very skinny face and pale hazel or blue eyes. Both times the woman was wearing a large jeweled ring on her hand, but the second time this happened the woman insisted the first encounter had been someone else. I dont know how true that is honestly.

The confrontation is taking place over me saying "are you ready" or "hello" after the automated voice recording at the drive through, and then waiting to begin speaking again until i am told the person is ready to take my order. I have never recieved any contact from any manager, owners, anyone, only a female employee with no name tag on that fits the above description about this topic. but i have been refused service, ignored and told i am lieing about already getting contacted by a manager about this issue.

The first encounter; the woman told me she knew i had already been warned to order right away by her manager. I told her i had no idea what she was talking about. Informed her that all in doing is being polite because often times the automatic recording doesnt actually indicate the employees readiness, at which point she snarkily commented that "they take my order every time" then she pulled her phone out and began typing on it while telling me her manager had already texted her about it, she knew i knew what she was talking about, and that i needed to order correctly in the future. I repeated that i had no idea what she was talking about and that this was the first i had heard about it. Told her i would listen to a manager when they did speak to me and thanked the woman for letting me know of the issue.

The second encounter; i greeted and waited for the employee to be ready like a considerate person does, no answer for what seemed like a minute or two, i figured the machine must be broken and went to move, then i was finally told to order. Mind you there was a line behind me, i went at 12pm. I get to the window to pay and the woman goes "youve been warned three times now. My manager said if you dont order correctly we arent going to serve you at all anymore" at this point i reiterate that no manager has spoken to me about this, only her, and that is when she tells me she wasnt the person who spoke to me last but was present for it and the time her manager spoke to me, which never actually happened. So now i have a pretty good reason to think everything this woman is saying is a lie and she just hates her job so i repeat that i would follow this rule when a manager spoke to me about it and let her know that it was unprofessional and ridiculous to refuse to acknowledge me and make those behind me wait because shes pissed off about me respectfully waiting until the employee im speaking to is ready for me to order. I then asked if i could pay for my food or if she needed to keep the line up longer arguing with me instead of letting me talk to whoever was in charge about the issue shes saying comes from her boss and she told me i actually could not have my food and needed to leave. I obviously left and began looking into how to contact the owner since this employee refused to go get her boss. And found that i can either make a review that the owner might see or contact corporate and complain to them. The latter seemed extreme.

Best case one or more employees are intentionally refusing to do their jobs and even driving away costumers they find annoying for whatever reason. Worst case the manager involved in this is lieing to their employees and making their employees handle these types of situations with no support, and in general NOT managing these situations.

If it actually is a problem with this business to ad 30seconds of interaction to the beginning of my order making sure the human being on the other end isnt busy with one of their dozen other job tasks then fine, but if someone with the authority isnt going to tell me then i have to assume this is a highly unprofessional employee or two who are intentionally making this...

I am a past DQ employee (20 years ago) from WA. We eat at our local DQ about once a week, I am always kind and empathetic to my fellow DQ alumni and I’ve never had a bad experience with customer service or food at a DQ until today, in LaGrande, OR

We are on an 11 hour road trip that started off with smoke alarms waking us all up at 3 & 4 AM, so we aren’t as sharp today, for sure, but would never use lack of sleep as a chance to be rude.

My teen nephew ordered cheese curds on his own, which he’d never tried before. After sitting down with his food he asked me if I thought he could get marinara sauce for them. The cashier didn’t offer that in the sauce choices. He hadn’t opened the sauce & I told him he could ask, but they might not have it, or take it back, even unopened. I told him me might have to buy it.

He waited at the counter for a good 5 minutes. I finally went up to see if I could get someone’s attention. A bigger lady with dark hair working the drive thru at 5pm on July 17th, 2025 walked by, totally ignoring us, so he quietly asked, ā€œDo you have marina?ā€

She stopped and said, ā€œYes.ā€

He asked, ā€œCan I trade this sauce for it?ā€ He is quite shy so it was tough for him to ask.

She said, ā€œNo!!ā€ SO RUDELY and stood there staring at him with a very irritated, mean look. She could have simply explained the policy and said he could buy one. I was very shocked. I’ve never heard someone respond that way to such a simple question. It was like we had offended her. We had no interaction with her prior to this.

THEN, we could hear her telling her co-workers in the back about the interaction. We were in the far corner of the room, quite a distance away, but we could hear her repeat her, ā€œNo!!ā€ to them and talk about us. It was extremely rude and such odd behavior. I think this woman needs counseling and/or a class on kindness.

My nephew went back to the counter and paid for the sauce since that is what he really wanted (& it was not offered to him as a choice, which it should have been, originally).

Prior to this I asked for a Superman mini blizzard with no sprinkles. It was one of the worst blizzards I’ve ever had. It HAD sprinkles, and about 3 pieces of cookie dough. Talk about skimping on the customer. Rather than being remade. It was made with an ingredient I asked to be removed & was missing the best part. I did not complain about it, we just wanted to get out of this place after the rudeness in the atmosphere.

We are very disappointed and disturbed after leaving this DQ. We will never go back to this location. I have traveled this way, several times a year for 45 years. My family will be DQ patrons for life, and are very thankful for your normally, terrific customer service and delicious food. Thank you...

The food is good but the employees are terrible, rude, unsupervised, and have no clue what customer service is. Your order will inevitably be wrong or you will be missing items everytime you order at the drive thru, save frustration and go to Wendy's. I had a drive thru employee yell at me tonight over the intercom and then tell me to get out of the line. Why? Because I wanted a large order of onion rings on a side order but she kept trying to give me onion rings instead of fries on my combo. I repeatedly told her 3 times that my order was incorrect so she got mad at me. She also didn't seem to know what a Dr Pepper was. I have never been treated like this at a fast food franchise ever in my life. When I got home I called and asked when the Manager would be in next, the same employee answered the phone and wouldn't tell me, so I asked if I could have the Managers first name so i knew who to ask for, this employee told me she legally couldn't tell me, so I asked if they had a home office number and she mocked me and said nope, were it, in a snoty voice, guess she thought it was funny. Stay away from this establishment! No customer deserves to be...
