Saturday, 12 Aug 2023 - 5++ Stars NOTE: Do not let the word "Pub" in their name confuse you - This is a family establishment, where they do not serve any hard liquor. They do have one small room with three gambling machines (see my pictures), but the rest of the business is open to all ages. While traveling across the state of Oregon (on I-84) today, we wanted to try something "local" and new to us, when out of the blue - my wife found this place, and it looked interesting so we pulled off the Interstate for lunch . BOY WERE WE HAPPY!! We arrived about 10 minutes past the listed opening time. Come to find out that early Thursday morning, they had a fire in the kitchen. Today was the first day open again after a fast and furious clean-up and Health Department re-inspection. We were actually the second customers to come in after being closed for the repairs. The looks (and smell) inside the restaurant would have never given that fact (that they had a fire) away. It looked wonderful. From the Google information, we were interested in having the all-you-can-eat pizza and saladbar. The saladbar was fresh, well stocked, with plenty of items to select from. The pizza was wonderful as well. There were plenty of choices/varieties and (for over an hour with LOTS of people having the same thing) always fresh pizza being placed in the serving area. I never saw it empty or less than 6 options available. The service was friendly, prompt, and all together outstanding. I ended up meeting the owner, Joe Cox (his wife Jamie was at home.) We had a great conversation, and I learned much about what they are trying to develop in the 1.5 years they have owned the place. I think they are headed in the right direction. We pass by this town often and will make this one of our "must stop at places to eat." So, YES, we will be back!

Passing through while we make our way back to NC. We’re from WA & moved last spring. This place looked good and it did not disappoint. Salad bar was good and had everything you can think of for toppings. I got the 1/4 slice of a large pizza and it had two slices & was perfect with the small salad. I got the Hawaiian. The dough could have been just a touch more done but it was very good. Also cute women’s bathroom. Nice to have clean bathrooms. Good service, decent prices. They have arcade games too! Lots of reviews so you know this place is popular. We’re documenting our whole road trip. Best restaurants & places to stay from WA to NC.

If you are passing through (or even if you live in La Grande), you MUST eat here! Such a great atmosphere with the warm fire and extra friendly staff! Even though it’s not on the menu, they serve the BEST clam chowder in a bread bowl. Their pizza was great as well! They said they overcooked it and offered to make us a new one if we thought it was too crispy. We happen to like our pizza on the more crispy side and it didn’t look overcooked. We appreciated the gesture but didn’t need a new one. The service was great and we felt right at home! I’ll be stopping here again next time I’m in town!

The gluten free pizza was amazing!!! It was an actual large pizza size, loaded with toppings, and completely Celiac safe!!! My daughter and I both have Celiacs. I haven't had anything but homemade pizza for over 14 years and she hasn't had it for over 4 years. This is the first place we trusted to make us a celiacs safe gluten free pizza. The chef even brought the pizza directly to us and told us that her kitchen does make things with flour but when she makes anything gluten free she washes her hands, changes her apron, has a separate work area, uses ingredients that haven't been handled, and has a celiacs paddle and cutter. She has a celiacs safe everything. My husband and other 7 children eat regular gluten food in our home so we do the same thing at home with our food prep. My daughter and I felt 100% safe to eat the pizza. We were so impressed by the effort, the service, the care, the kindness, and the pizza!!! It was amazing and loaded with yummy toppings. We really enjoyed the pizza and didn't have any bad reactions. I feel confident that eating here is safe for Celiacs. THANK YOU, Local Harvest Eatery And Pub!!! We are so grateful and we will come again next time we come through...

Went there this afternoon for lunch. Only one server working with the dining area fairly full. A second server was definitely needed. We had to wait quite some time for the opportunity to have our salads made. Enough time that we almost left. Our meal was completed and we had received our bill. I noticed on our bill we were charged more for one of the items than what was listed on the menu. I asked to see the menu and questioned our server on the amount. Her reply was that the menu must've been an old menu and that they haven't been able to have new menus printed due to Covid. I stated that is false advertisement. After arguing about it with me and my repeating my statement four times, our server, who turned out to be a Manager, agreed to give us the difference in the two amounts on our bill. Am now wondering how many other items were charged more than what was listed on the menu. Beware of dishonest practices. What is listed on their menu as being their prices, isn't actually their prices. Personally, if I were in control of a situation like this and my prices had changed, rather than dishonestly screwing my customers, I would create new menus from my computer at home....
