Clean, corporate, predictable, and if you live in a small Pacific Northwest community, Denny's may be your midrange dining establishment (they appear to be a value family dining chain pretty much everywhere else). Local staff is well trained and friendly. Service is fast, portions are usually more than I can eat, and they're open 24/7.
Having lived in an inconveniently small town most of my adult life, it's a little alarming for me to consider how many milestones have happened at Denny's. Studying over drinks and breakfast dates as a young adult; ice cream celebrations when our kids had a good game, straight A's or perfect attendance; serious discussions about where our kids would go to college; the breaking of bad new; and most recently, planning a funeral for one of those adult children... All of these life events and more have been made just a little bit better/easier by friendly service and access to comfort food. Over the decades it's become our tacit go-to.
In an industry characterized by high turnover of talent the reliability of the menu, service and value proposition of my local Denny's is a pretty incredible thing. My guess is it's a lot harder than they...
Read moreWell I have to shut up by saying that the food was pretty damn good but this customer service was horrible. A friend of mine that was with me when to play video poker on one of the machines and the lady to the left of the ones you want to play on said sorry you can't use that one cuz I'm playing on both of them, so my friend asked her politely several times she please use the one machine she said no and then the waitress even said no sorry she's using both of them we're just going to have to deal with it. I thought that was extremely rude and unprofessional and so because of that I will never go there again!!!! Now as far as the food goes I get the French toast platter with an appetizer of blueberry puff pastries or something like that and it came with a cream cheese frosting. The blueberry Puffs were literally exactly like corn fritter except with blueberries in it and no corn and a cream cheese frosting dip so they weren't so when will the food was pretty dang good but customer service was the worst I've hadso when he's pretty damn good but customer service was some of the worst I've had in a long time so I don't...
Read moreYikes guys, what has happened to this location. My wife and I, for a long while, loved this location and would eat there pretty regularly. For a while the food was excellent, then we started seeing some new cooks recently and the last 4 or 5 times it's just been bad. I even tried to give feedback on the food and nothing was done. It's super clear their current cooks have no idea what temperature to cook food on. The food always ends up burnt on the outside and raw in the middle. It will be a long time before we come back again, we made that decision today after there was burnt sausage throughout a whole omelette and the cheese wasn't even melted. The sausage at point was so burnt it felt like chewing on pieces of gravel. I wish I was exaggerating and, as I said, we gave them several chances to improve, this wasn't a one time situation. At least the service remains to be pretty decent but they need new cooks stat, today's cooks as of about 1pm, are the serious problem. Every time we see them cooking the food comes out like this. Please do some training on...
