Alright, I’m editing this review after too many trips of meh to ick meals. I don’t remember what I ate when I wrote my initial review, but I’ve had little but disappointing experiences since.
Their chocolate chip cookies are the best I’ve ever had that I didn’t make. But their bagels are the worst; I don’t know how they even call that a bagel as it is just a ring-shaped piece of mediocre bread.
I suppose that the quality is still decent, but that makes no difference when things don’t taste good. Most pastries are good enough, but the meal food just isn’t. To be fair, my husband likes the food a lot, but also says that he always feels weird after eating there.
Word to the wise: The PB&J is so disgusting that I have no idea how it is still on the menu, like it doesn’t even seem debatable: a huge, barely-grilled slice of dry & gross-tasting challah with a super thin layer of PB and jelly.
Original review: One of two truly decent restaurants in town where quality goes (JaxDog being the other). Their standard menu has some great things on it and their weekly specials are always inspiring, even if they aren’t things that I, as a vegetarian, would eat.
I only tried their coffee on my last visit (I don’t drink if often) & holy cow… it was so good! Best I’ve had in town.
They are also a low-waste establishment that composts most things, which is always a bonus.
Much of the staff there have been a little standoffish each time we’ve gone, but as a counter-service restaurant, I can...

I'm not from the area and relied on an online search for breakfast and coffee spots open on Sunday morning, and this place was one of the options. I thoroughly enjoyed their freshly baked bread and the honey they had for sale. The customer service was impressive, and the establishment was clean. I was a bit surprised that most of the employees were wearing masks, which wasn't to my liking, but that's a matter of personal preference. Nevertheless, I wholeheartedly...
Read moreBest coffee in town! Amazing people running a beautiful new coffee shop. Has outdoor seating and a couple cool church pews on the inside. Fresh baked bread, pastries, and a breakfast menu. Will be coming back regularly!
UPDATE: have been coming in regularly for a solid year and this is hands down my favorite place to eat in town. Staff are incredibly warm and welcoming and the rotating food menu is always full of great flavors at a very affordable price. Worth stopping in if you’re passing...
