Love the food - but the service was lousy today. Young woman, maybe 20, absolutely no Customer Service. Offputting, unprofessional, condescending, sassy, untrained, should not be at the front of the house representing your restaurant. Did not greet us, did not ask if she could help us, Had an attitude when we mentioned how warm it was, seemed offended that we asked if there was a veterans discount, or maybe she just didn’t know - which is more likely. Asked to speak to the manager. He very sheepishly whispered to her about her attitude. He was nice and accommodating to us about the air conditioning, but other than that made no attempt to address us about the lousy attitude and the lack of professionalism. We were going to eat in house, but we asked them to pack our food as we did not want to stay there. Nothing was ever said to us. Manager didn’t seem to have any command of his staff. I did tell both of them that the young woman was unprofessional and gets paid to serve customers - hopefully with a good attitude. Considering that people are willing to eat in their restaurant with prices so high these days, customer service should be their priority. They...

Came opening week and only drive thru open and waited 45 minutes to order. Good sign that people were lining up. I love the Pico Rivera location and was looking forward to having Pepe’s nearby. Their tacos and quesadillas are what bring me back to Pepe’s and unfortunately this location they are just not the same. The quesadilla is just completely different and very bland. I’m going to return but will order something different. Very disappointed to say the least.

Customer service was great. I don’t want to let that go unsaid.

Returned this past weekend. Ordered the nacho fries. The order wasn’t as described on the menu. Worst part was it was included in a larger order, after getting home I noticed it wasn’t included in my bag. Yes, maybe I should go through the whole order at the window but should I?

So, it’s still drive thru only so I had to return to the drive thru window. Yes I walked up to the window. I’m that guy.

This Pepe’s is not the same as other Pepe’s. Maybe in a year or two it will improve. I won’t be back...

It's been about a year since I visited this place and I'm afraid I was not impressed that first time. But I had some today via a door dash order and I was quite surprised. I had some beef tacos and a cheese quesadilla. The tacos were very good and I wish now I had ordered that a year ago. But what surprised me the most was the quesadilla. A quesadilla should be easy to make, so the care shown in preparing one is a good sign of how well a restaurant cares about the quality of their food. This quesadilla was nearly perfect. White cheese, probably Monterey Jack, and an almost perfectly prepared flour tortilla. This was not a floppy, rubbery tortilla like so many places provide. This was nice and warm, slightly crisp, and very tasty. Do they make their own tortillas? Probably not. But wherever they're getting them, they've done well in selecting their supplier. I will definitely order this again, and without embarrassment that I'm having to select it from...

Drove at the way to this location because the location in Downey is closed on Sundays. In comparison, the Downey location is the best and better overall in terms of food and cleanliness. However, I personally feel the Downey location might not be related even though it's still called Pepe's fine Mexican food est 1962, but I digress. This location was very dirty and messy. Outdoor trash can full and spilling over with trash and getting into the walking paths. Inside, most tables are dirty with food in the floor. Doesn't seem like there's any priority to keeping the dining areas clean. The burritos are smaller than expected and was very bland BUT the salsas, specially the green one, was very flavorful so much that I'd enjoy it as a soup. Unfortunately I cannot recommend dining at this location and the food isn't up to par when compared to other locations.

Tried their Breakfast Burrito, Chicken Hard Taco, Beef Hard Taco, Beef Hard Taco w/Guacamole, Machaca Burrito, Carnitas Wet Burrito, Beef Taquitos, and Chicken Enchiladas with Green sauce. While everything is 3☆ Good, the Beef and Chicken Hard Tacos are 4☆ Very Good, and their Breakfast Burrito is 5☆ Excellent! Get 5☆ Excellent tacos at one of the dozen Taqueria De Anda locations. Get 5☆ Excellent wet burritos at the 62+ year old El Tepeyac restaurant chain in East L.A., City of Industry, and La Mirada. Get 5☆ "Super Rolled Tacos" (Taquitos) at the 10 or so Casteneda's (2 in La Habra). 5☆ Excellent Enchiladas can be found in Placentia, sorry, forgot the name, kinda far for me to go to unless I'm in that area. Overall, I'll just go there for their 5☆ Excellent Breakfast Burrito and their 4☆ Hard Shell Tacos, and that's it.

Food: Pepe's is a franchise, so the menu is almost the same as other locations...almost the same. I ordered the #TostadaSalad with #CarneAsada. It was small but was piled with chopped fresh iceberg lettuce, Carne Asada, salsa, slices of avocado, sour cream, beans, rice, cheese, and came with a side of cilantro dressing. It was $9. Service: There were about 10 cars ahead of me but I only waited for maybe 6 minutes or so. Friendly and accurate service. The dining area is not open yet. Final thought: La Habrians are used to the menu selection at the Brea and Fullerton locations. Those locations offer a small healthier taco salad with out the fried tortilla shell for a few dollars less. I'd give a 5 ⭐ if they had the same menu options as the near by locations. Until then, a solid 4 🍻
