At first, I was a bit hesitant to give a review. After all, doing so would expose my addiction to the sweet taste of the fried dough we call donuts, but this place merits all 5 stars and more. So let me start by saying I got an assorted box of a dozen tasty, moist, baked to perfection treats—all to myself. If I am honest, I wasn't expecting too much. I mean. I've had Winchell's donuts before, and as a recovering donut addict, I knew what to expect. At least that's what I thought. But then the smell of dough and frosting felt enchanting as I walked back to my place, holding the box that was too big for my small hands. I could taste the sprinkles, the peanuts, the glaze in every step I took. Then I opened the box, and it was like discovering gold, but better! I told myself I would only have one, but I swear I heard angels sing in my first bite of that homemade blueberry donut. It was love at first bite! One blueberry donut turned into a glazed twist, a strawberry sprinkle, and when I least expected it, I was changing into my comfy pants while holding a donut in my mouth. The selection is broad and made with diligence. 10/10, I recommend this place for any occasion. The owner is ok, too. I don't know him well, but anyone who can wake up every day to make sure these pieces of heaven are fully stocked and made fresh every day is a donut God in my book. This place was IMMACULATE, me and another friend randomly wanted apple fritters at 3 am and went here and Thank god we did. The man behind the counter was nice and simple, we got our donuts with no difficulty and the apple fritters tasted HEAVENLY there are small ones and HUGE ONES and they are both amazing. They were crispy on the outside and soft on the inside as if it was just cooked ! It also had a humongous selection of other donuts to choose from and was very reasonably priced. Will definitely be coming here again when I’m craving...
