I want to preface this review by mentioning that this review in no way reflects on the wait staff. However, the food was extremely disappointing. We started with the poke nachos, which were a huge letdown. What we received was mostly chips with a very little poke. For the price, I expected a much better balance of ingredients and definitely more poke. The shredded carrot on top felt like filler. Next, I had the cheeseburger. Initially, I noticed the fries had been lazily thrown on the plate in a haphazard arrangement, which doesn't really matter because Curbside isn't fine dining - but it sure did foreshadow what was to come. Upon taking a bite, I noticed the bun was incredibly dry. This alone would have been disappointing, but then I discovered a large piece of wax paper in the burger, presumably from the cheese slice. I am a bit concerned with how much paper I actually ate before noticing it. This kind of mistake is unacceptable and raises serious questions about what goes on in the kitchen. From the fries, to the bun, and the wax paper - whoever plated this burger does not care about the customer. My wife had the Greek salad, which was priced at $17 with an additional $7 for chicken. The salad was laughably small and only included four tiny pieces of chicken. Also, for $17 ($28 including the chicken) you'd think a Greek salad would have Greek olives and not cheap black olives. For such a high price, we expected a much more substantial and authentic Greek salad. The portion size and quality were extremely disappointing. We were informed that some changes had been made to the menu and kitchen, but these changes have clearly not been for the better. Despite the decent service, the quality of the food was so poor that we will not be returning. We have already warned our friends to avoid this place. Very disappointed.

Very charming bar and eatery! We got outdoor seating around 1:30 pm on Friday while La Mesa was setting up for the weekly street fair. Great service! We each had their Falafel Plate with a side salad, hummus, pita and tatziki. The falafels were crispy on the outside and moist and flavorful on the inside. Easily the best we have had in years. Their Red Ale was smooth and flavorful, albeit a bit flat. Great service and great decor. They do allow you pooch companions and even offer a reasonably priced burger plate for them. If you arrive before the weekly street fair you can get a good outdoor seat and watch the setup. The fair opens at 3 pm but some vendors are open earlier. This will be a regular stop for us! Highly recommended!

Went for a late lunch after the lunch rush, and the food and service left much to be desired. The Basic Burger ($16 with chips, or + $3 to upgrade to fries) was bland and worse than comparable burgers from spots like this. Even the Happy Hour fries ($7 instead of $9) were just OK, nothing special and a small portion. Our server didn’t check on us much (the place puts out water so servers do not need to wait on tables as much) and forgot to give us our cocktail, so at the end we said that’s ok we’ll cancel the cocktail, and then the server said oh no they forgot. Would not come back again since all the food was just average to below average compared to similar places

Our server Aaron was extremely rude and unprofessional. We asked if they have unseasoned chicken and rice for our little puppy who’s not feeling too well and can’t eat beef at the moment and was recommended by the vet. She rushes us on our order and walks away when she came back she brought the puppy’s food in a to-go box and left it on the table and said our food will be for dining in even though we just told her our food was to-go. Once we opened the pup food the chicken looked extremely seasoned. When she brought the check I asked if the chicken is seasoned she rolled her eyes and said “idk” with an attitude. We asked her if she can check and verify because dogs are not allowed to have certain seasonings and that’s why we had asked her from the get-go. She walks away and comes back with an attitude takes the receipt and says I will take off the chicken because it’s marinated and goes on without apologizing and walks away with making an additional comment. We were extremely calm and professional as we just got out of the vet so we were not in the mood for any sort of confrontation but we left our number down for the manager/owner to call. Throughout our interactions with her she was rude and extremely...

First and last time at this restaurant. We sat down with my family and placed our order from a server that was not friendly but seemed ok. When he brought the drinks out within 10 mins we were optimistic cause everything looked good so we ordered food then. 5 tables that were sat on the patio after we were, ordered about half hour after us. Everyone got their food and ate. We tried asking the server about our food which at that point had been more than 45 minutes. He said the kitchen was slow. So we asked why ALL the other tables that arrived after us have already gotten their food. When addressing it with the manager and hostess 1.5hrs after sitting down, they said the order was placed 20mins ago. There was no apology from our server or acknowledgment that there was a service failure. We paid for our drinks and left. From someone who has worked many years in the service industry, I would have to say this is one of the worst experiences I have ever had. We heard him speak rudely to other tables around us. Maybe he was having an off day but just an apology from him instead of blaming the kitchen would have...
