I found this spot after poking around on the internet a bit in search of Taiyaki/Bungeoppang/붕어빵. I can't find any real (not croissant style) 붕어빵 in the SF South Bay area and have been dreaming about it for far too long, so when in Rome (or SoCal)...
This little cafe is located inside of the Super 1 Mart on the left hand side when you walk in.
I came in pretty shortly after they had opened, a gentleman at the counter very kindly did not tell me "no" or ask me to leave when I asked for one of each flavor (red bean, green tea, custard and Nutella).
These fish... Wow. They were fresh and piping hot and full of their respective fillings. Each flavor was absolutely delicious. The custard was pleasantly not overly sweet which complimented the pancake well, the Nutella was so gooey and fragrant, the red bean was just sweet enough and so classic feeling, and the green tea was light, sweet and one of my favorites. The batter itself was fluffy, chewy, sweet and spongey.
Each fish was just $2, they were made right there and the wait was nothing. I feel so fulfilled. Both physically and emotionally. I probably cried while eating them. Most likely. I'll definitely be back when I'm in the area again.

Tucked inside the Super 1 Mart food court, this hidden gem consistently delivers fresh, made-to-order Boonguh Bbang that is perfectly crispy on the outside and generously filled on the inside.
I ordered the Black Sesame and Red Bean & Cream Cheese—both were absolutely delicious and rich in flavor. You can really taste the quality and care they put into every pastry. Honestly, I had Boonguh Bbang from Sul & Beans in Rowland Heights last month, and it wasn’t even close in comparison—BingSoo House blows it out of the water.
I used to come here every other week when I lived in the OC. The easy parking, great grocery shopping, and affordable prices make it a fantastic spot to stop by for dessert or a quick treat after errands.
Whether you’re a fan of Korean desserts or trying Boonguh Bbang for the first time, you won’t be disappointed!

Read moreFirst time coming here. Binsoo House is in the front left side, inside the Super 1 grocery store, next to another food outlet in a small food court area. We got 2 mango Bingsoo as a refreshing snack after going to a park nearby. I mistakenly said I wanted it for here instead of to go, because I wanted to eat it immediately but outside because I had my dog with me, so the owner put it in nice bowls but I asked permission to eat it outside and I would bring the ceramic bowls back and she said that was ok. There aren't any tables and chairs outside so we ate it in the car and brought the tray and bowls back to the food court when we were done. I ate it so fast that I didn't get a picture! It looks just like her picture on the menu anyway! Bingsoo is my new favorite dessert and you should give this place a try because it was so yummy! Plus, you can grocery shop...
