I recently visited Central Park in La Palma, California for a 50’s–60’s themed outdoor concert, and it was one of those experiences that makes you appreciate how well a city can create a sense of community. The evening was alive with nostalgic music, families spread out on picnic blankets, and the warm hum of neighbors chatting under the fading sunlight. The park had booths from the Police Department, Orange County Mental Health, and the Fire Department, each engaging with visitors in a friendly and approachable way. It gave the event more than just entertainment—it felt connected, like the city was showing up for its residents. The lawn was nice and comfortable for sitting and enjoying the music. There was also a food truck serving savory options and a dessert truck for sweet treats, which made it easy to grab a bite while staying in the middle of the action. Central Park is versatile when it comes to amenities. There’s a pickleball court, a basketball court, and a baseball field. Everything was clean, well-kept, and ready for use. Even during a busy event, the park stayed quiet and pleasant, with enough space for everyone to relax without feeling crowded. Whether you come for an event, a game, or just some downtime, Central Park is a solid choice in La Palma. .

We love coming here for our children's events for sure. Playground is right next to the big picnic area hut with plenty of picnic benches for lots of people. Restrooms are less than a 100 feet away. Lots of trees and hut covering which our taco guy and face painter appreciate on sunny days and eletrical outlets for DJ. Big space and easy to clean up as well. We've brought various family dogs to enjoy the space as well. We'll be using them again and again.

Pickleball courts Dedicated nets that have wheels on it that stay on the court You can have four quarts going on one side or pickleball and the other is for either tennis, a single pickleball court, or tennis soccer Lights turn off at 10:25 pm Courts are not as busy on weekends because people tend to go to Don kanabe in Cerritos Busier days are Tuesday and Thursday

Great park. Great location. Very clean most of the time. There's been some vandalism issues lately. I'm not surprised. I reported a group of teenagers loitering on the toddler play equipment which blocked access from kids that wanted to play. The 2 attendants on duty did nothing. The male attendant went out to look, then went back into the office. Either they don't give them proper training on how to handle those type of situations, or he didn't have the guts to say something to the teenagers. Still, workers are friendly and the equipment seems to be...
