Taqueria Metro Basilica — Restaurant in La Puente

This is the closest taco place to me and unfortunately it sucks. I've asked my family to stop buying from here multiple times, they'll bring tacos over and when I open it up I can tell if it's from this place just by one disgusting thing alone. Over the course of 2 years, I've found hair in my food on at least 4 different occasions, keep in mind that we wouldn't even get tacos that often. The last time my family (still not listening) went there of course there was hair in the food, but this time it was in one of THEIR burritos, so that time around we went back to let them know and get a refund. What upset me even more then was that the cashier did not apologize at any point but instead started trying to "interrogate" wether my family had really gotten food from there. We had the food in the bag, the receipt and they had literally just been there 15 minutes prior. This place has the most bomb food, it reminds me of eating fast Mexican food before the swapmeet trips on a Sunday. Super nostalgic over this food, no lie. Yesterday I purchased a carnitas burrito, and the tortilla is similar to the homemade flour tortillas in texture. Flavor was amazing, just added some salsa verde to my taste, and bombdotcom!! They serve your food when ordering tacos/burritos with grilled onions, chiles toreados, and the salsa of your liking.

I’ve been coming here for years and always received the best service and food . Meat tastes great and tacos are always full of meat (although they are small in size ).
