River Rock Roasting Drive Thru — Restaurant in La Verkin

I’m a local and used to frequent the drive thru 2-3 times a week but after multiple times in a row of my order getting completely messed up I rarely go anymore. I gave it another chance today while out running errands - ordered an iced espresso with a splash of oat milk (because last time that I tried to order an iced cortado they told me they could only make that as a hot drink… which as a fellow barista is silly to me because it’s just a matter of milk to espresso ratio; but I digress) It was $5.25 which was my first indicator that they probably hadn’t understood, but I just hoped they had charged me incorrectly, and I was honestly fine to pay the higher price as long as my drink was correct. At the delivery window I was given an iced latte - so, not what I ordered, and furthermore the attitude of the employees did not leave me feeling comfortable to ask for it to be remade, although I do take responsibility for not saying anything. Just seems confusing to me that a very simple drink can’t get made correctly, and that if there was uncertainty concerning the order, no effort was made to confirm the order details. TLDR; would love to stop in more often if I could feel at all confident about receiving the actual drink that I ordered, as this scenario has happened upwards of 5 times now and I can’t justify spending the money when it feels...

I was staying next door at the La Quinta Inn and decided to walk down and check it out. Driving by it looks like there is an open seating area where one could sit down and enjoy their coffee but this wasn’t the case. As I walked into the front cloth covered patio area I saw there was only one bench...and it was in the hot sun at the time. If there was multiple benches placed all around at least one of them would have been in the shade or get better covering to shade the whole patio. Then when I finished my shake and food I couldn’t find a garbage can! I went back to window to give to employee and she said she couldn’t take it because it’s against health code?!? What is going on in the place? If there is no garbage can people will end up throwing it on the ground. Makes no sense. Please fix. Place a garbage can outside like a normal food establishment.

This place was booming on a Sunday. We didn’t want to wait in the long drive thru line, so we parked and walked up. We ordered an oat milk dirty chai, a cold brew and a cinnamon roll. We waited over 20 mins for our two drinks and cinnamon roll. By the time our drinks were ready - there were no more cinnamon rolls. The staff take turns helping the drive thru line as well as the walk ups, which I get. My suggestion is: Give the food as the customer orders it before drinks are given. Ask if customer wants the food heated. We were refunded for the cinnamon roll, but I feel this could have been avoided if they gave the food as it’s ordered. Maybe offer more than one bench to sit as the average wait...
