JT's Bagel Hut — Restaurant in Lacey Township

Ordered 2 scrambled eggs on a bagel with butter they charged me $6.80. Thought that was a bit high asked the girl why is it $6.80 she gave me a breakdown of each item and $2.80 of it was for the butter. I said to her are you kidding me? That seems a bit high. The other girl behind the counter then said to me with attitude then don’t order it that way. I said take off the butter and they gave me $2.80 back. As I was waiting for my sandwich they were talking to each other making snide remarks about me. I then asked them who is the owner I would like to speak to them and they wouldn’t tell me when they were in. Next day I called there and asked to speak to the manager and the girl I had problem with answered the phone and when I asked when will the owner be in she hung up on me. Shortly after the wife of the owner called me and was talking to me like I did something wrong telling me she trains all her employees they wouldn’t do that and prices went up everywhere and they charge separately for each item. Great bagels and breakfast sandwiches. This review was 1 year ago. I just went there today, 11/10/24, I was extremely disappointed 😞. I think the JT's original owners are gone. I went in to get a breakfast sandwich. I noticed that they don't even have a grille anymore out front where they would make you a fresh egg sandwich. Now everything is precooked, and put a little heating trays just like Mcdonald's. If I wanted a McDonald's breakfast sandwich, I would go there, when you go to a bagel shop, you expect a fresh cooked bagel sandwich. The eggs were rubbery because they sat in the warming tray, and the pork roll was dry, also because it sat in the warming tray. I will never go back to JT's ever again. When I didn't have time to get to JT's, I would go to Sunrise Bagels. Well, now Sunrise Bagels is going to be my new bagel stop, because they do cook everything fresh. I called and ordered 2 sandwiches. A bacon egg on egg bagel and 2 eggs on an onion bagel. Well got there and there was cheese on the egg bagel. Which was no big deal. They said they would remake it i said ok. But when its a remake and 5 other people who came in after they said they would remake it and they get their orders before the remake of mine thats unacceptable. I stood there while everyone else got their first. And they girl who said they would remake it sat there and never bothered to check the progress of the remake. Not just that but i paid almost $12 for 2 eggs on a bagel and eggs and 3 pieces of bacon on a bagel. Their prices are going up and up. The bagels are good dont get me wrong but they are getting real skimpy on the food they put on sandwiches and the service leaves something to be desired.
