Wow, I haven't had such aweful service in quite a while.. We decided to order in a pizza for pick up after a long day, called to place an order. Waited 5 min on hold to place an order which we were told would be done in 20-25 min. We arrived after 35 min expecting our pizzas to be long past done.. they weren't! We walked into a jam packed front room with about 15 people standing around near the counter, waiting for service.. finally our clueless hostess came rushing up, just smiled at us and said "Were it's really busy".. I looked around and saw 6 occupied tables and about 10 clean tables NOT being used. They had what looked like 2servers/2 bussers/ 6 kitchen staff and one host... And they could barely handle getting those tables their food much, less dealing with the 5 groups waiting to be seated. I explained to the staff we understand how the industry works and we're not mad, but we did have our dog waiting in the car and wanted an estimate on how long we would be waiting. His reply- " uuuuuhhhh, I'm not suuuurrre." Which we pressed and demanded a "time-frame".. he then responded with. I think they are throwing theming in now, should be like 7 minutes or so.." (This was 40 min after ordering) . We took the dog for a walk around the block and killed 15 more minutes! As we got back to The Rock, there was still all the exact same people waiting to be seated and an additional 3groups waiting to just talk to the host ( who was once again not up front).. after 5min of loudly talking with customers about how horrible the service was, the host came rushing out of the back. He told the 3groups waiting that -"it would be about 40 minutes before they could seat anyone".???? They immediately walked out. After a minute he finally looks to us, and says - "your finally back, we just threw your pizza in the oven!" With a happy tone like I should be excited hearing this for the third Fing time. We struggled waiting another 10 min or so with biting off this guy's head. After 70 minutes from the time of placing our order.. we were brought our pizzas, immediately the hosts attitude changed as we went to pay for it, and out of no where a caring and sympathetic side came out.. as if he could still turn the situation after all that. We paid $80 for 3 -16" pizzas that took 70 minutes to bake and yet (somehow) was still undercooked, doughy, and had coagulated cheese after a short drive home.. I would never recommend this place to anyone....EVER. I would recommend that they hire new staff that gives a F and maybe a manager that can keep such a low volume business like this afloat. Hopefully people will catch on and see this place as the poorly run, novelty...
Read moreThis is by far my favorite lunch spot. I've been here for dinner but the lunch special is what really tops the cake. I'm in the Army and I'm always looking for a quick lunch but I'm just not into most fast food. For lunch during the week, they have a pizza buffet with a few side pastas and salad dishes. They rotate different pizzas out to keep things fresh and each one I've tried I've been happy with. I don't think I've ever seen the bottom of my drink and it always seems to be at the table right as I'm getting there with my pizza slices.
There has been a few times I've looked over the pizzas and wasn't ecstatic about my options even though they keep a rotations but when this happens I always feel comfortable asking the waiter/waitress if they can make a certain kind and they always do it up just right. Blows my mind they cater the pizza menu to what customers are asking for, This might not sound like a big deal but I've never been to a buffet place that offered to fry up some chicken for me since I missed yesterdays menu. To me, this rocks.
The lunch buffet also helps me find the pizzas that are my favorite so when I bring visiting friends or family there for dinner, I can recommend what I think is the best. Their beer selection is commendable and the bartender seemed pretty knowledgeable when ever I go.
I'm going to let you in a a secret. The brown sugar pizza is really good. It's also a pizza that you stalk the counter for when it comes out. I've had the waitress bring out a second pizza straight to the table because she set it out and before she could make her rounds to tell me, it was already gone. I didn't even ask her too, that's how cool they are there! Now I ask for it every time for a dessert. I know, I know, sugar on a pizza, but I'm not done, I get way weirder. I dip it in ranch. WHAT!!! Yup, I don't know what it is but is really good and I found out recently that I'm not the only one to do it. It's like every one's weird little secret. They all give that lip twitch look on their face like I'm crazy and then they start doing it too.
I can honestly say I bring this place up every time lunch is in question. It's too good and what more could you possibly ask for with a flat rate bill. I just hope all the special treatment I get just isn't because I'm in uniform. I doubt it but they are super military friendly and they treat us right.
You wont...
Read moreMe and my co worker come here all the time. Usually, it’s our favorite place. The lady who works in the bar is VERY friendly and gets our lemonades when she sees us. The gentlemen that’s very outgoing is also our favorite. His name is Rasheed! And he’s constantly trying to make people smile. The last two times we came in recently, we have had the waiter Issac. He’s not kind at all. The last time, he told us to follow him to the table and sat us down by just putting the menus on the table and walking away. We weren’t even sure if he maybe wasn’t finished or what, but we sat down because he walked away. He did not once come and check on us when we finally got our food. Others were getting their food and drinks way before us. We let it pass because we thought he was just having a bad day. He never once smiled at all. Then today, same thing. We were waiting for a seat and he just throws the menus on the table and goes to help someone else. We sat down and waited for him to come back for waters that we asked for. After taking our order once we were ready, we only received our salad. Good thing because it’s almost an hour now and we STILL don’t have our two personal size pizzas or the brown sugar moss bread. I stopped him since he hasn’t come back, & he said things are taking long because the other person took 40 minutes for their pizza too and he doesn’t know what’s going on. It’s not busy at all. He brought out some garlic bread and I asked if they were out of the brown sugar because that’s what I ordered. He was SOOOO rude and said that I need to specify the brown sugar because otherwise, they just assume it’s regular Garlic bread. I know I did and i went to look for a menu, and he said he would bring one. (Which he has not) & then took the garlic bread back and I heard him tell the cook that we want it to be remade with the brown sugar. I’m not one to leave bad reviews but this is the second time coming into here and he has treated us horrible. We come here often, so it sucks that Isaac is this way. I think that we will not be coming back for awhile. Might want to have him brush up on customer service skills. Or put him in the back where he isn’t the front face of the establishment. Here is it 1:35 & Rasheed was nice enough to bring out brown sugar moss bread I had ordered. Rasheed, please come to the...
