Overall, the experience at the Lacey/Olympia Red Lobster was good. The food tasted great as always. The restaurant was clean as one would expect, especially during this pandemic. The service was below average when compared to past visits. Our waiter was only attentive to myself and not the other person with me, and continuously forgot what was being ordered and so with the endless shrip we ended up with some that we didn't order, and some that took about 20 minutes to get to our table, though it was slow that night. We will be back, but hopefully service improves with the reopening of restaurants all over.
**Match 2022 Update - Upon arrival was greeted by the shift manager. He was extremely polite, friendly and professional as has become the norm while dealing with staff that has been at this establishment for long term. I was happy to see our usual waitress was back to her normal schedule as she is just like I described, polite, friendly, professional, and always making sure the glasses are full, correct food ordered arrives, cooked to near perfection before it leaves the kitchen. Though it is still a hard time to find good employees that are willing to stay and work hard in this fast passed restaurant, I was happy to see that some of the faces were the same as last time I was there, and they were doing much better at their overall customer service. These are some of the reasons I'll continue to go back to the Red Lobster in Lacey, WA area. Easy access off of I-5, great food and service at a fair price.
May 2022 - This Red Lobster continues to have great food and service at fair prices. You know you either visit a place too often, or you have really great staff if they recognize you and remember your name and order soon as you walk in. Will continue to recommend and go here for special occasions and delicious food.
December 2022 - As per usual, Red Lobster in Lacey continues to have great food amd service, which if we're to be honest, is becoming more challenging every day as many businesses are having a tougher time maintaining employees. Even Red Lobster is a business affected by the changes as can see by the help wanted sign on the door, changing menu, and increasing prices. And to quote King Ezekiel from The Walking Dead, "...and yet I smile." Meaning yes, like all consumers I don't like seeing price changes, but every time I goto Red Lobster I still see my favorite waitress that continues to provide professional serve and crack jokes and have a great time with customers regardless of what the world problems are, or how sort staffed the restaurant maybe that day. To this day I still recommend Red Lobster in Lacey, and see if you can be seated in Teri's section, and have a great meal any day of the week along with...
Read moreIf I could leave zero stars, I would this was only my fourth time at this particular red lobster and I do not usually do things like this unless it’s absolutely necessary, you can say I had decided to go to this location with my mother to try the new seafood boil that they had been advertising. When we first got there, it was a pretty OK experience. The hostess was very nice and showed us to our table. Before the server came over.
When we finally got our server, she was pleasant at first offering us something to drink while we decided what we wanted to order things unfortunately, began to go downhill after she had taken our order. After we have received our food, she had only come to the table once asking us if our food was OK and offering a refill to my mother’s drink.
Time had passed by and she had not returned with my mother’s refill or to check on us. We were in need of napkins and we’re not asked if Napkins as our server Lisa D continue to help guests around us treating our table, as if we were not even there. It took several minutes for her to even come over to give us our bill, still not returning with the refill we had ordered a while back. She had helped every other table with refills questions etc . To add to this, these people came after we had been seated It should be noted also that she was giving us eye contact and we were making it clear to her that we did need her assistance, my mother had even tried to verbally get the ladies attention only to be ignored.
I believe that with this being a family restaurant, it would be a safe environment, regardless of ethnicity but I have never felt more uncomfortable at a restaurant than I did today. I was more ready to leave than anything.
She only decided to come over to the table and pretend to be pleasant when she was giving us to go boxes.
I will not be returning to this location again And I believe that that serve be taught to have respect for everybody, even if they are somebody of color. If she can show respect to everyone else that was around, who was not of color then she could respect the...
Read moretl;dr: service could use some improvement, and the food was not very good.
It's been a year or so since my partner and I have gone to a Red Lobster. And up until today, it's been a solid place to get decent enough seafood. Our server was Sahara, and she was alright. Had a sort of blasé attitude to her. The table we were sat at wasn't properly cleaned, and in the window sill there was a previous customers drink - at least the table top wasn't dirty.
We order our meals, my partner got the steak and shrimp surf and turf and I got the lobster tail and steak surf and turf. When the food arrives at the table, my partner received all of his food, and I received half of mine. I got the steak on one plate, the baked potato on another. I was told the lobster tail would be out in about 6 minutes. Kind of weird but not the end of the world. I also pointed out that I didn't get my broccoli. She leaves an returns a moment later with broccoli that was sitting in a pool of butter, like an absurd amount.
When I cut into my steak and take a bite, it was cooked well but cold. It was as if it had been sitting in the window for a little too long. Sahara comes a few moments later with the lobster tail (which was actually pretty solid and cooked well), and I send the steak back because it was cold. I was told I would get a "new steak". Low and behold when she came back it was my steak I sent back, just grilled to hell. I have to send the steak back again. At this point, I'm just over it. Sahara goes to the back and the manager comes over, I tell her I don't want it anymore. At least they took the steak off the bill. Even with the steak removed it was still $80 for below average food, and poor service.
Everyone has an off day, and hopefully this was an off day for them and not the norm. Regardless, my partner and I have decided we won't be back to...
