Eastern Chinese Restaurant — Restaurant in Ladysmith

The buffet selection, while small in comparison to some, is adequate and enjoyable. The dining area and restrooms are bright and clean. The prices are affordable. I wish they would put the big deck out back to good use... I grew really tired really quick over the years to all the children's toys strewn about the deck seemingly without ever being used. All the while you have such a great view of the river hidden amongst the junk. I wish they could expand their dining area (indoors or out) just a bit to take advantage of the great view the river offers. If it's not possible due to zoning or expense I wish they'd just clean up the deck and put a few bird feeders (humming bird & others) out there to make the views all the more...

Food was ok. And when ever I'd go up for another plate the owner kept on looking over my shoulder like I was going to do something to the food. Then the lady gives me my check when I just got my plate of food and was there for merely 5 minutes. She doesn't even take the money until we leave, what was the point of giving me my bill and telling me to pay then?? When we bring the money to the desk she take the tip jar from under the counter and shakes it at my friend's and I....

The food was decent however when we ordered takeout(only way to eat hence the circumstances) the outside of the plastic bag had orange chicken sauce all over it, not only getting the inside of the vehicle dirty but also our hands all sticky. The way they packed the bag was unnecessary, having the containers with food upside down and no silverware whatsoever it was very stressful trying to eat my orange chicken with sauce all over my hands with no silverware. 2/5 would...
