Arni's Lafayette Market Square — Restaurant in Lafayette

Went to Arni's yesterday BEFORE the Purdue game let out to get dinner. First, let me start by saying that our waitress was very kind and our negative experience had NOTHING to do with her! My fiancée and son received their dinner (a medium pizza and an individual one) before I received mine.... food is usually brought out as a table. My lasagna came piping hot but VERY sloppy and didn't look like it had been baked at all. I took one bite... AWESOME. My second bite was ICE COLD! I sent it back and ordered the Gut Buster instead. It came and looked NOTHING like it normally does! It was swimming in pizza sauce, large amounts of bbq sauce, but their was little to no meat or jalapeños on it! It was so sloppy the top layer of bread had slid off of every piece.... I attempted to eat a piece with a fork and was too overwhelmed by sauce, that I decided to stop eating it all together. My fiancée and son ordered dessert at this time while I drank my water and drink (btw, they did not have a bartender and the waitresses were having to make the drinks)... half way into my fiancée's chocolate cake.... he sees a hair on the icing. We won't be back to this location until the kitchen staff gets back to...

Stoped in the Arnies at Market square to run in and order a pizza when I came in there where no customers waiting and the time was 2:45pm on a sunday. I stood buy the order here sign to do this and there was a young girl standing at the counter fluting with the young boys at the counter. I awaited for some time. They where talking about some party the night before. The girl at the pick up side said they will be with you shortly, well they did not. We have been coming to this Arnies since the 70's and every time we go every one is doing a great job and greeting customers to make them feel welcome. Well I continued to wait. No luck. So I finely left. Called pizza king and ordered my pizza, I hope you can teach these young people what customer service is all about, because with the prices going up so much it takes a lot to get customers to stay true to a small buisness, we are now done...

I was very impressed with my server Alexis she was proud to work at Arni's. I am in town for work but had been told from at friend in Illinois to make sure I get to Arni's. My food was good, I had a side salad, potato pancakes and deluxe pizza. The price was very reasonable. I was noticing the history of posters displayed on the walls so I asked Alexis about them and she told the story of her grandma working there and that she is a 3rd generation working at Arni's. She even took me into the Toy room to show off the collection and showed me pictures of Arni and of his son. I was very impress that she cared enough to share this with a stranger from out of town!! It is becoming rare to find staff that enjoys their job and are excited enough to talk about the company or family they work for!! Kudos to Alexis and Arni's for providing a great environment as well as...
