My friend and I had visited before and gotten the fried chicken sandwich and it was great! We were eager to visit again and enjoy the chicken salad croissant. We were very disappointed. From our first bite, something was off. We guessed that maybe the croissant had been grilled on a dirty grill. Our server was very good and tried hard. She brought us a bowl of the chicken salad to try. It was okay: bland and a bit stale tasting. She offered to make us new sandwiches and we took her up on the offer. Still had problems with the croissant. At one point the hostess came over to tell us it couldn’t be a dirty grill. She also told us she loved the chicken salad. I thought the problem was dirty oil used to brush the clean grill. I also wondered how long the chicken salad had been in the fridge. We ended up taking most of our food home. The hostess also made sure to come back and tell us that it must be our ā€œtaste budsā€ and there was absolutely nothing wrong with the sandwiches. My friend told her that we had had chicken salad before and we knew what it was supposed to taste like. The hostess again let us know we were wrong and invited us to come back again and have something we liked. The onion rings were great! The waitress was great! All in all, I wasted my money....

This was our first time here and the Cafe is wonderful. The atmosphere was phenomenal, lots of waiting area with couches and chairs, or areas just to drink coffee and relax. The menu was extensive with a variety of choices/coffees/desserts to chose from. And it is prepared by an actual culinary chef rather than just a cook. It was hot, fresh tasting, and even though they were busy our waitress checked on us at least 5 times along with 2 other servers and even the owner stopped by to chat. This is the way a true Cafe should be and it is definitely a place to come!

I had chocolate chip pancakes, spouse had apple pie waffle add vanilla ice cream. My daughters had regular waffle with cookies and cream ice cream and one had the burrito. It was amazing!...

I ordered a iced mocha. 4.50 the first drink was all chocolate syrup. No coffee taste at all and besides the chocolate syrup sip it wasnt very sweet. I ordered french toast two eggs over easy and bacon. The eggs looked like they were cooked on top of a burn log lots of little chips and bits from an unclean grill. The bacon was cold and rock hard couldnt eat it. The server never came to check on me so i sat alone and ate 3 or 4 bites of a 15$ breakfast. There has to be at least 10 other diners in this town. Go to one of those North End diner should stick to bagels and donuts they buy in. I wanted to try something new and ya know new isnt always the best. Out of 5 stars i...

Why is there not an option for 6 stars?? We had such a great time visiting the cafe for brunch on Sunday. Delicious food, and everything homemade and cooked with care. Even little things like their fresh fruit bowls show their attention to detail. Where else would you get thin sliced oranges and watermelon, plus various berries and melons! The chicken salad was amazing too. Great variety on the menu, very reasonable prices, and incredibly friendly staff. The restaurant was warm and inviting, everything neat and clean. We got to sit outside and enjoy the beautiful day. Definitely will be coming back!

Looked for a cute brunch place as we stopped through Lafayette. This place fit the bill perfectly, we really loved the concept of connected business. The food is your regular diner breakfast food. My corn beef hash was home made, not the mushy kind. The buttermilk pancakes were awesome, they looked like a cake, and tasted delicious. Service was quick, though we did stop in on a weekday, I could see this placed packed on the weekend. If you are close I suggest you stop in.

This is a cute little place attached to a church community building. The staff are unusually chill and patient, like they're not under a lot of pressure, which is nice. We had the Fresh Fruit Plate, which is like a fruit and chicken salad combined with cottage cheese and a muffin. Pretty healthy meal. Then we also had the Meat Lover's Omelette, which was pretty good, but the standout here was the super tasty breakfast potatoes. Prices are very reasonable.
