Athena Express — Restaurant in Lafayette

I placed a Togo order on the phone, they couldn’t tell me the total. The total was $55 for which I paid cash and was not given a receipt. The prices on the boxes were not the same as the prices on the menu online, nor do they match the prices on third party apps. Several items were all packaged together, so all of those things ended up all over each other because they were in single compartment to go boxes. I have a side salad that’s literally just lettuce and feta no dressing or toppings, lemons mixed in with pita croutons for my soup. The staff was rude when we picked it up. When I called they said they didn’t have anyone that could refund my money, but at this point I’m no longer hungry after looking at all of this and I have been eating Athena for years and have never had this problem or anything...

This used to be my favorite place to eat Greek food, but after tonight never again! The rice was bland, the salad had no dressing or hardly any, and the gyro meat was chewy and didn’t taste good. The container that the food came in was even smaller than it used to be. The chicken was the only thing that was ok and the service was fast, that’s why I even gave it two stars. I even suggested it to my bf because I used to love it and he’s never been. Needless to say, he did not enjoy it. What happened Athena??? The quality is not up to par anymore....

Update (3 years later)...Still good everytime! Sometimes I make the mistake of getting food from their main competitor, but this goddess is so much better than that Greek god you see everywhere else.

Athenas (NOT ADT Google!), is so freaking good. OMG, it's worth every penny! I can't make up my mind between Gyro and Chkn. Shawarma, so I get the combo. They are so nice too, but it's the food that is awesome! I've had the feta salad and hummus before, but it's the sandwiches that keep me coming back! Well worth the money! Definitely a nice treat...
