Dear Charley's on Moss St. Usually I enjoy the fine greasy Chinese food from your fine old dairy queen building of an establishment. Today, however, I did not. Not only did I get 1 small shrimp in my shrimp half ass cooked rice, the jumbo butterfly shrimp was so extra crunchy, it made a jawbreaker look good! So I had your fine hamburger steak and all the fixings of shrimp fried rice with the killer mash tators and gravy. Yet again, I was disappointed at the beef jerky you called hamburger steak! That was the everlasting gobstopper!! It was so dry that IT MADE BEEF JERKY LOOK AND FEEL MOIST!!! Again.... with my side of shrimp fried half ass cooked rice, I received no shrimp! I was truly thankful for the complimentary soy sauce packet to further moisten my scrumptious fried rice!! Now on to the yummy instant potato flakes from a dried out elbow of someone with psoriasis! It was fluffy, had body and texture, HOWEVER I COULD NOT TASTE DUE TO THE EXTREME AMOUNT IF CAYENNE PEPPER IN IT!! It was so hot that the thought of being in hell sounded like a vacation!! I have been a regular customer of Charlie's Seafood for over 10 years. The only thing we ever order is grilled fish and a large fried shrimp with fried rice. They know my face. To be fair the food is great but the service is horrible. I ordered a fried shrimp dinner with fried rice and grilled fish. I received the grilled fish but only received shrimp fried rice which I paid a dollar extra to have shrimp put in the rice. When I picked it up the man at the window asked me if I ordered grilled fish and a large fried rice with shrimp. I said yes arrived home and only had the shrimp fried rice, no fried shrimp. I called to report the error I had to bring the food back all the way from Carencro and was told because I confirmed large fried rice with shrimp not large fried shrimp with rice I would have to pay the difference to get what I originally ordered without the slightest regard for the cost and inconvenience to me for the order takers error. Why should I be penalized for their error? At the very least they could have offered to split the difference instead they have lost a long time...
