Love the mushroom swiss burger, the quesadillas are great and their steaks are delicious!!! This has become one of my favorite places to grab a bite to eat. The staff is always friendly and they take good care of you. They also offer specials daily. I haven't had anything off the menu that I didn't like. I had the pleasure of dining here this afternoon!! We tried the pretzel bites with Nacho Cheese dip, and Asian BBQ wings. They both had a very good texture and were equally as delicious. We also got a Mushroom Swiss burger, with steak fries and a bacon cheeseburger, with potato wedges. Both burgers were very juicy and tasty!! We attended a benefit event on 7/27/04. The drinks were flowing, food was great, the bands killed it, but what stood out was the staff. The staff was on their A game! Smiles the entire evening, making sure everyone was taken care of and when you ordered something it was there in a flash. Kudos to everyone at the Checkerboard for a fun night and successful event. Definitely coming back next time...
