This place is awesome for anyone remotely interested in local history, fire departments, or anything in between. We got there early and were the only ones looking around outside when Mike Linville invited us in and gave an excellent tour including seeing the rooms set up like they were when this was an operational fire station, including stories and photos of when his father was the fire chief there many years ago as well as decades before. They have historical uniforms and fire apparatus, several operational fire trucks with one being an old pump wagon. This is a quaint, hidden jewel for locals and tourists alike.
