This DQ seems to be busy, but reality is that they are just absolutely SLOW! I pulled up to the building, the drive thru was out into traffic on the main road so I decided to head inside to place my order. When in the building I found quite a lot of people waiting for their orders to be fulfilled. I was third person in line and soon I was up to place my order. I greeted the employee and the employee must not have spoken the same language cause he looked at me like I was some sort of strange person with my kindness. The employee took my order and I went into the “waiting pool” of others anticipating their food. Soon after the grumbling could be heard, “why is this taking so long”, “this food was ordered pain, but it has the garden on it” ( that person didn’t even get an acknowledgement form the employee he just turned around and walked to the grill area without even saying a word to the person who had their food made wrong) the complaints filled the air. I happened to see what I believed to be my order on the counter, but it was not presented to me so I figured I was wrong. 10 min passed and at the 20 min mark I said something to the manager who appeared to be just a lost as the other employees. He said he would get right on it to fulfill my order that I had been waiting for at that point 22 min. The grumble in the store continued, and the person who had their food made wrong still didn’t have their food. Finally after 28 total mins I was handed the large blizzard I ordered with an apology for the lack of service. The blizzard had ice cream running down the sides and if the upside down flip was any quicker I would have missed it. No napkins were handed to me to wipe the sides and this blizzard looked like it was quite runny. I was able to get home and put the blizzard in the freezer in order to firm it back up. After 2 hrs in the freezer I went back to it. Wow if I hadn’t ordered it myself I wouldn’t even know what kind if blizzard it was, this thing was pulverized! I mean nothing seemed pumpkin pie about it! There is absolutely NO excuse for this! People are spending their hard earned money for terrible service, poor quality food and the wait!!! Reality is the location needs to shut its doors if this is what they are providing for the public. Why should we pay for this! What about this visit makes me feel good about their doors being open. The store needs closed down and employees trained for proper etiquette. This...
Read moreFirst, we ordered our ice cream. They didn’t have chocolate ice cream, which isn’t a big deal, they offered to add chocolate sauce instead. That was fine. When we got to the window, we paid for our ice cream. After sitting and waiting for about 5 minutes, the girl working the window, opened the window, and with an attitude, asked us what we were waiting for. Well, considering you haven’t given us anything, we are waiting for everything. Then we had to tell her what our order was. She had a poor attitude about this point. When she handed out the blizzard, we told her it was supposed to be chocolate with extra chocolate sauce. It looked slightly darker than vanilla. She said it has chocolate in it. When we asked for her to add more chocolate, she again told us it had chocolate in it. We told her to please add more. That’s when she started giving attitude. Like how dare us ask her to do her job. The whole time, the girls were inside flipping their fake braids around and messing with their fake hair, all while handling food with no gloves. When we told them we would call Pat, the owner, and let him know how they were running his restaurant, they basically said, go ahead, they could care less. Then, they forgot our pup cups, and we pulled away before realizing it. I had to go in to get them. When I explained my displeasure with the way our order was handled and the poor attitudes from the employees, I was told to just call Pat, they didn’t care. I guess I shouldn’t expect anything else from Pats employees based on what I’ve seen him doing with Pepes. It’s the last time we’ll go to this Dairy Queen. Same as Pepes, we haven’t been there for over a year because of how employees are treated and the manager that was fired for dealing out of the restaurant, then brought back after his...
Read moreLiterally intentionally tricked us and many other customers to wait in the parking lot for all the hot items we ordered, without telling us MANY other customers were ahead of us in the parking lot.
20 minutes later (not kidding. 20 minutes) they finally brought our food out to us.
We Ordered at 7:22pm (on Wednesday; today). We had our food by 7:42pm.
We were, at first, considering McDonalds. But we didn't have time to wait in that drive-through.
There was no line at DQ. So we decided to spend 3x as much as we would have at McDonalds across the street, in order to save time. Because I was having a medical problem. I needed to get home soon.
We didn't realize they HID the line from all would-be customers.
The manager blamed deceiving customers on their regional manager. Said she hated having to lie to customers, and to disrespect the value of costumer's time, just to get their business.
It has been their standing orders for a very long time. And they've always profited from it, and never had any real consequences from it. So they plan to keep doing it.
In any event, she was under orders to do it. So she orders the workers to do it.
I explained we wil never order from there again. She didn't care. Losing the occasional customer is still more profitable than losing even more business from people see a long line. So they're going to keep hiding the line and letting customers figure out on their own what trick was pulled on them, while they wait a long time for food.
If the food had been for me, I would have driven off after 10 minutes, and then demanded a refund from home. But it was for the kids. It was getting late. And we kept thinking "any...
