I’ve eaten here plenty of times when I come to town but after the experience me and my family had yesterday I can definitely say we won’t be back. When we first got there there were a few tables so we thought okay they are busy. Our server came and got our drinks and disappeared for a little while. She eventually came back and asked if we wanted appetizers. Appetizers came out cold. We ate them and didn’t complain, we just ate them because we were hungry. We were completely done eating appetizers for a while before our server finally came back and asked us what we wanted for our meals. Server never refilled our drinks until we brought our cups to her. We were the ONLY table in there at this point. Our food was taking extremely long, like way longer than it should have. I got my brother to go ask for them just to cancel our order so we could go somewhere else. All of a sudden our food was “ready” and about to come out. My brother said he saw all of the employees either talking or playing on their phones. She asked if we wanted it to go or if we would eat there. Ultimately we decided just to stay and eat because at this point we were all super hungry. Worst decision ever. Our food was definitely sitting under the heat lamp for a long time. I have worked in a restaurant and I know you can definitely tell when it’s been sitting under the lamp. Our food wasn’t even hot it was like warm. And the fries were cold. We all hardly ate our food. I took one bite out of my burger, and the bread was so hard from sitting under the heat lamp. A completely different server came out brought us our checks. Overall was the worst experience I...
Read moreI have been here a quite a bit because it's a go-to place where I can easily bring my small children and still have an actual grown-up conversation with friends. I love a two for one draft, but after a good ten visits with flat beer I've given up. We call it "Flat Pat's." The wait staff look at us blankly when we mention the beer is flat. Several of the draft offerings are seasonal but are from from the wrong season, and when we went tonight the first three beers we tried to order on draft were out. Generally, the food is passable, and often the service is excellent. However, hope when you visit you don't get the long-time waitress that served us tonight. Curt and inattentive. When I mentioned that there was a straw wrapper in the nachos (yes, TRASH) she simply said. "Okay?" She gave up on us after that, and we on she. Perhaps an online review isn't warranted so much as a call to the manager. It was bad tonight. I'll go back, but only because this place is a happy medium between my workplace, my house, my friends' houses, and the daycare. And I'll make sure I don't sit in her section again, 'cause I'm not hot on finding trash at the bottom of the nacho pile and having the waitress shrug at me like I'm wasting her time. I don't want a comp, just an acknowledgement that the beer is indeed flat, and it is unacceptable to find paper...
Read moreThe restaurant was a tad smaller than it seemed in the Google photos. You can choose either of two doors. We happened to enter the bar area and sat there to watch some of the SNF game.
I later noticed that if you sat in the regular dining area, your table had its own little TV, which was nice.
The service was friendly, and we were greeted immediately.
The food was good. The burgers and fries were seasoned nicely. We waited some time for our food, which I understood given that only two people were serving the patrons. I just wish the food had been a little hotter; the fries were warm. But when they brought out my son's fries, they were nice and hot. I'm sorry I didn't take more photos; I was super tired from driving all day, and it just slipped my mind. We also ordered wings. The wings were nice and crispy, just like I like them. They didn't have a lot of sauce, which was perfect for me. I would add a tad more habanero (spice heat 🥵 🔥) to the mango habanero and a tad more BBQ sauce to the spicy BBQ wings. If I'm in the area, I would definitely try this place again!
Oh, and the root beer from Abita was really good. I've never tried that...
