Offers decent daily specials (not including Sundays) and pretty much would be the only reason why I would come here. I tried this place multiple times, and every time I want to really like it, I leave just feeling content. The kimchi fries are the only thing I think is really good, but their large pho should not be considered a large. Yes, it may be a “deep concave-shaped” bowl but that is a small bowl compared to other pho bowls like in the New Orleans, Houston, and Dallas areas. It was also mainly noodles and had barely any protein…but I like how they are not stingy with their veggies. The veggies were fresh especially the bean sprouts. I also feel like their short ribs rice plate isn’t the same as previous times I tried it…tbh I don’t think I’ll be ordering it again. The banh mi bites aren’t worth it either. It’s basically a whole banh mi cut into bite sizes. You could get a banh mi for half the price at an Asian market and either eat it as is or cut it up yourself. Overall, I’ll only come here if someone wants to go and for the daily specials. If you do like this place, please let me know what dish you like because I really want to know. I want to like this restaurant so badly, but I don’t know why everything I order, I don’t like…hopefully I’ll find something I enjoy besides the...
Read moreOrdered food to go. I had Vermicelli Noodles with Tofu. I can't eat meat so I figured the dish was safe but the egg rolls had some kind of ground pork or chicken in them. Not only that but they didn't give my kid the protein that came with her dish and they left out and entire other item we ordered.
Then on top of that they didn't label any of the pho broths so some people in our party had to guess if the food they ordered was what they were eating.
The food was relatively bland. Not much flavor. The heat was decent but no other layers of flavor as the pho had a mountain of basil in it, stems and all. The beef pho was mostly noodles and basil even though we had ordered extra meat with it.
Winter rolls were mid. Not bad not good.
The poor girl taking orders over the phone had to keep asking questions because management seemed to not have trained her.
Overall a super disappointing meal to be charging $15+ per entree. Might as well have gone to taco bell for $20 altogether for a more enjoyable and affordable meal compared to what we received.
At least the brick and mortar of the restaurant looks nice because the food tasted like my grandmother from Wisconsin attempting to cook Vietnamese cuisine. Even then I think she could have...
Read moreOverall good experience however I would give second thoughts before returning to this restaurant. We were immediately greeted once entering the restaurant and seated within 10 min. However once being seated, we waited for 20 minutes before my boyfriend returned to the hostess to notify them we still hadn’t been acknowledged. No “I’ll be with you shortly” or “let me get you some water in the meantime. Nothing. After he notified the hostess, it was about another 7-10 minutes before our server appeared. She ended up also being the same server for the 20+ table in front of us. This explained things and we more willing to give her grace after notching this. However, I find this a poor call on the hostess. Why assign a hostess who has a party that large alone to another table. It’s a setup for failure. Nonetheless once we were recognized, her service was great and we had no further issues. We really enjoyed the $3 shot special that night. Food was good, but did have an aftertaste after a couple of bites. We were not sure if this was a result of the shots or what lol, but didn’t let it...
