New review 3/16/24

Ordered our typical order at 12:39 and was told 30 minutes. Got there at 1:03 and was told there was 10 minutes left and were moved into a parking space. At 1:33 after watching 4 other cars drive thru and get food within a couple of minutes we drove back into the drive through and were told it was almost done again and to go back to the parking spot. We did not get brought our food until right around 1:40. All of the food was hardly warm and the ticket showed completed at 1:17. We had to go back inside to ask for straws and asked to talk to a manager about the food. All we were offered is for him to reheat the food that we had already waited 45 minutes in the parking lot for. I do not pay the pizza village premium to have reheated food, and our kids were beyond ready to go so we couldn’t wait any longer. We were not offered a discount for our next order or anything else to remedy this. We spend around $50 per visit here minimum, sometimes 3 times a month and I’ve been coming here with my family since around 2003. I am not sure what’s going on with management but this location is not the same as it used to be. There have been numerous issues over this past year that had not existed prior. To be clear, if I was told it would have taken an hour, I would have showed up in a hour and had no issue with it. I probably wouldn’t even have been upset if we were brought fresh, hot food. It’s unfortunate but at this point we will not come back to this PV.

Let me start by saying Pizza Village has been a long time favorite of mine, for nearly 15 years I have supported this location.

My 5 star review is coming down to 3 stars. We spend $60 here nearly every Sunday, and we order the same thing every time. The past few times have been going downhill with order inconsistencies.

Our pizza size was incorrect when we picked up, and at 1:57 we were told 12 minutes for a corrected ordered. 27 minutes later we had to drive back up to the window to ask if if our food was done, and it was. No discount or free drink offered for our 25 minute loss, we still had to pay full price.

Unfortunately after all of this the pizza is missing extra toppings we paid for. Oh well, I’m not waiting again…. We pay for “extra extra” fried pepperoni on top, and the amount we receive the last few visits has been all over the place. We will get 500 extra pepperoni one order and 5 the next. We have made it a point to ask for “extra extra” to make sure enough are added, and the price reflects it. Today is one of those 5 extra pepperoni times.

This was unfortunately the last straw for us… We love PV so we will of course be back time to time, but no more weekly $60 pizza village trips if we cannot expect the same quality and quantities every visit.

Old review: The service here was amazing. A++. The sever and manager were some of the best I’ve dealt with. The food was amazing. The only reason this is not a 5 star review is because the tables are too small. A family of 5 felt very very crammed, and wouldn’t have been much different with a family of 3-4. The booths were not this crammed during our last visit. All of that aside; the rest of the visit was phenomenal....

This past Sunday my wife and I joined my daughter and her husband along with two grandchildren to help move our grandchild into the college dorm room. We went to lunch at the Pizza Village on Moss St. for lunch. The six of us ordered different items, pizza, salad, pasta and sandwiches. Since I’m from New Orleans I ordered what they call a roast beef and cheese po’boy sandwich. Please remember that my meal required no cooking. Everyone was served their meal except me. After everyone was half through with their lunch the waiter came by to tell me that the kitchen staff was still working on my sandwich. Some time later, after everyone else was finished eating, the waiter returned to say that the kitchen staff burnt mine and was going to make me another. I told him to cancel my order and remove it from the bill. As we were leaving the waiter handed us a “to go box” with what he called my meal. I repeated that I didn’t want it and to throw it in the trash. My wife took it with us. Around 5 PM I finally opened the box to eat half and found an oversized hotdog bun with two thin slices of beef and mayonnaise. 50 years in business and what they call a po’boy wasn’t close. No French bread, no brown gravy, one small patch of lettuce, etc. The half I did eat made me sick later that afternoon so the other half went in the garbage. I hope my grandchild tells all her classmates where not to eat. It’s very hard to believe that this place is still in business. I would give them a 0 star but I had to pick 1 star in...

I dont know what's going on in this restaurant we go to the one off I-49 in lafayette,La. and went three times in a row and was very this satisfied would do there at least normally once a weekend deal but the food orders are never right, when they try and fix the problem it's like they get mad to make something else for you and the food is worse well this last time we went me and my husband had a nate in my tea and a fly was in my husband got stuck in his straw to the point we couldn't eat it was so disgusting. There fix was bring us some spite where we could see our drink clear we asked and gave us a desert and really got mad at us I could of walked out and not pay but we didn't make a big seen but they need new management looking at this restaurant to see how they dont take care there custermer and make them fill like it's our fault. It will be a while before we go back to try there food again, when you cant cook a burger with out burning it are chicken fryed steak and put with gravy that churn to cottage cheese looking gravy are cold food, and some bugs in drinks there needs to be someone else taking over to make sure people dont get sick for the price spending of $50.00 are more bucks on food and drinks. Something is wrong I fell you make the custermer fill comfortably to injoy a meal not make them fill like it's your own fault and think a desert will fix it I'm not a kid you giving candy too, I'm a adult and wants the treatment you would want didn't fix my problem with a desert and was very...

What’s not to love here? Twenty years ago we would bring our kids to Lafayette soccer tournaments and afterwards the team would eat pizza here. I loved these salads so much that today, driving past from Kentucky to Houston, I stopped for lunch. The salads are cool, refreshing, filling and so fresh you don't even need dressing. I'm gonna try to stop on the way back to try the new salad. And the atmosphere? Well, the place is full, not a single soul is looking at their phone, andI watched a Pappy laughing and playing with his granddaughter after asking Ms. Linda where he was gonna get bait for his catfish line. I heard a sweet group of sharp-dressed elders reminiscing about that family down the road who didn't intermarry and then later discover that the one lady’s Uncle Frank was a Melancon from down the bayou. Oh… and that thing in my tea? That's not a straw. That's a stirring spoon. No ma’am. It simply does not get any better than this.

Don't recommend this place. The veggie pizza is just green and black olives. Was supposed to have mushrooms, bell peppers, and onions in addition to the olives, but nope. Just one slice of mushroom on each slice and an overload of green olives. Yea, they literally gave me a pizza full of green olives. Definitely not a veggie pizza. I added shrimp. They were super tiny. The olives were bigger than the shrimp. It had been over 20 years since I ate pizza village on Moss St. I don't remember why I never went back, but this is definitely the last time. I don't like to waste food, so I ate it. Luckily it was only a small pizza.

The reason for a 2 star is beacuse.... We ordered the "Landry " pizza. Which tasted like ..not good. Also ordered a shrimp pizza, kids loved it! The waitress kept putting her hands on husband's beer, which I was thinking that was "Louisiana ways"? So we just dealt with it. But if your not looking to spend $70 for 2 large pizzas and 5 drinks...dont go here. Us personally won't be returning bc the pizza just didn't taste like pizza.
