I got a to-go order today as I’ve been wanting to try Shane’s for a good while. I got the Shane O Cheese with a side of onion rings and a sprite, as well as a Morning After burger with fries and a Dr. pepper. The Shane O cheese had maybe a single scoop of Mac and cheese on it, what I would say is about 1/3rd a cup split between both sides. This was $13 just for the two sides of the quesadilla burger. I added on onion rings which were 5 dollars and when I tell you I paid 5 dollars for 8 burnt and unseasoned onion rings that’s what I mean. Hugely disappointed with the onion rings to be honest. The quesadilla burger itself wasn’t bad by any means, I just don’t think it’s worth the money just for the portion I got and that the smash burgers were very dry. I didn’t get a lot of sauce which is why it was probably dry but the morning after burger wasn’t dry at all. The concept of the quesadilla burger is great so I think that other menu items might be worth your money more. The fries were also very well seasoned however still not $4 worth of fries. I’m also very sad that they don’t have any kind of combo option. Just to get a drink for both of the meals was $2.75 each and it’s not a big cup, it’s a bit less than a medium at sonic. I definitely think they need to add just a combo option for the menu. I can’t say a whole lot about the morning after burger as my fiancé was the one to eat it but it looked overall better then mine. I still don’t think a single burger is worth $14 by itself though. In all I spent $45 for a burger, a quesadilla burger, 8 onion rings, 2 drinks, and about 15 well seasoned fries. Personally I think that $35 is a more reasonable price point but I’m unsure of costs of materials. The cheese on the burger was just American craft cheese however and they don’t seem to season the burgers at all or cut them with onions. I would recommend Shane’s to someone who wants an experience and maybe a one time thing rather than someone looking for particularly good food at a good price point that can be used as a staple...
Read moreThey need more time to work out the kinks... Heard good things about this place so wanted to try out their new location. Showed up just before 6pm on a Saturday evening. Entire table wanted water with lemon, but they were out of lemons, no big deal, but went downhill from there. Ordered a french fry appetizer, and server said he needed to check to see if they had potatoes cut...Ok. When we ordered our entrees, some of our original choices were unavailable due to them being out of one of their main ingredients for multiple dishes... After about 30 minutes we received our app, which was delicious. Although, at 7:30, we were informed that they had run out of pretty much everything and we wouldn't be able to get any entrees. A little upset that it took a hour and a half later to get informed that we wouldn't be eating. Manager kindly came over and informed us that we wouldn't be charged for the items we didn't receive...pretty sure I wasn't planning on paying for the items not received anyway! We were given a coupon for a free app at a future visit... We did recognize the owner was present but disappointing that he did not address the issues with any customers and feel like he should have taken more ownership. It seems as though there was a severe communication error between the kitchen and everyone else, then an error with everyone else relaying any messages to customers. We could see other groups getting upset and leaving prior to us being informed of anything. There was even a group of people who came in a few minutes before we left asking how long it took to get our food. I had to be honest and said we didn't eat due to nothing being available. They were in shock since they were sat down and drink orders were just taken... IF I go back, I will definitely give them plenty of time to get a handle on things. I do believe they have a lot of potential, but this visit was not the best. Experience was a single star, but gave two out of hope. Can hopefully change to 5...
Read moreMy Honest Experience (with Hope for Improvement):
I came to this restaurant after seeing it all over TikTok — the hype had me excited, and I really wanted this to be a new favorite spot. I don’t usually write reviews, but I felt it was only fair to share my honest experience — not to bash, but hopefully to help.
The visit unfortunately fell far below expectations. I’m giving five stars because I truly don’t want to hurt a small business, but truthfully, this visit felt like a one-star experience.
The food lacked seasoning across the board. My kids wouldn’t eat the mac & cheese — it tasted more like water than anything cheesy. The chicken was overcooked, and the shrimp had no flavor. The only thing at our table that everyone enjoyed was the sweet potato fries — those were great!
The sweet hot honey sauce sounded promising, but it was watery and didn’t carry any spice or bold flavor. And the drinks… I don’t know what happened there. The alcohol pour was incredibly heavy — to the point where even my husband, who’s typically unphased by strong drinks, couldn’t finish his. Mine tasted more like a full bottle of alcohol with a splash of color. I couldn’t take more than one sip.
Even the soda didn’t taste right, which makes me wonder if the drink machines need to be recalibrated. It’s especially frustrating considering the drink was around $14 — that felt like a big letdown. In addition to four dollars charge for using a credit card or a debit card
I might try this place again in the future — I usually give a restaurant two visits before making up my mind completely. I hope this was just an off day. I’m rooting for this place to improve, because I can tell there’s effort behind the concept. I just hope the execution catches up to the...
