Upon entering the restaurant I was fairly impressed by the presentation of the place. It was clean, the waiters dressed well and was a semi-good environment. I was seated at my table and the first thing I noticed was the menu. It was one piece of lamenated paper, front and back, that had little to no designs, no pictures to show me what the food at least looked like, and menus that couldn't be true to its own genre of foods. For example looking at the sandwich options, the title was called "Mostly Sandwiches"... By my surprise I was boggled on why they would even be other foods besides sandwiches, it doesn't make much sense... I looked at the other food options and was disappointed that I couldn't find anything outside the ranges of soups and other types of steaks. So I looked again at the sandwich options and found that the very top choice seemed to be fitting, "The Carving Board" as it was called. It was a type of beef sandwich that came with one side of my choice. I decided to go the American way and choose French Fries... After a bit, a waiter finally came and asked what I wanted to drink, I wanted something simple so I chose water. He went and came back with my drink, it came with a sliced Limon on the rim. He asked if I was ready to order and I told him what I wanted and the sides to be fries. He interrupted himself and ask if I wanted ham or beef for the meat. I stammered a bit because there was no option on the menu for me to choose the meat for my desired sandwich, after a second of thought I chose ham because I'm not a big fan of beef. He wrote it down and went on his way. Upon reviewing the simple glass of water I got, I was disgusted because the lemon that came with it was old, it wasn't fresh at all like this lemon was cut and left on the cabinet for about an hour... At this point I'm already ready to leave... After awhile I finally get my food, the waiter saw that my glass was almost empty and asked if I wanted some more, I did. And so he grabbed my cup and pulled a pitcher out and pored the water into it, spilling some of it onto the ground. After getting my cup back he left without saying anything, not even a simple "anything else". I looked down onto my plate, it looked pretty good. It was a big sandwich with its meat overflowing from the bread. But, then again something was off. I ordered ham... They gave me beef... And not only that, they spent more time trying to burn the beef then actually cooking it... I had a more enjoyable time eating the sides then the actual main dish, in fact I had a better time eating the tomato in the sandwich, and I don't even like tomatoes! Not only that, you know those glass cups they give you that are full with ranch? They gave me that but it was filled with mayonnaise that was already solidified, I was about done with all of it. When I finally got my bill, the terrible sandwich I just consumed was $15 plus tax, so I put a $20 in there to pay for everything. After the waiter took my bill he left and didn't come back for about 5min, I saw him talking to other customers and finally he pointed at me and said "you, would you like your change back"... He didn't even have it ready at hand and basically already took it so I just let him have it... My plan was not to give him a tip because, before hand, he had already mixed up some of our food (I was there with my Girlfriend at the time) with someone else's. This a good restaurant and I know it has potential, I know my review might not do much to it but I want others to know what I experienced and how they can...

Read moreI came here for my birthday dinner with my family, 8 people total. Our server Nick, was not attentive AT ALL. It dampened the experience.
To start, he took 10 minutes to bring us drinks, and then he came back 5 minutes after. We ordered appetizers, and he did not run them to us, nor come to check on us to see if they tasted okay. We kept seeing him go to other tables that he had, he’d look at us and then walk away. We ordered food, and then he and another server dropped it off. He did not come see us in the entire period between ordering entrees and receiving the food, nor ordering the appetizers and receiving them (that he did not run). My partner wanted to order a salad to start, and he couldn’t even do that because our server did not come to us. The restaurant was not busy as all, so he could have definitely run his own food and have been to us. After receiving entrees, he did not check up on us on the ENTIRE meal, and he only came to us when asking for checks. After bringing checks, he took a good 10 minutes to print them out and bring them to us, not including running the cards.
I’m a server myself and I eat out at restaurants a lot, and this was the worst service I’ve ever had. I get that you get gratuity for parties of 8 or more, but he didn’t even try to engage with us or work for his tip. The busboys came to our table more than he did. Our server got $50 on one of our three bills, which he probably got about $100 in tips total off of our table. I don’t see myself dining in again, because service is really important to me. Even if he was new and didn’t know what he was doing, he engaged with his other tables way more than he did with us, which I’m sure was due to the fact that he did not get gratuity off of them.
Food was amazing, though! I got the redfish...
