This is a second review. While I still like the place I would recommend to not bother with the eggplant parmigiana. Actually, it was more like spaghetti and eggplant parmigiana rather than eggplant parmigiana with a side of spaghetti. I'm pretty disappointed since eggplant is fairly inexpensive but they were very stingy with the eggplant and loaded up with the spaghetti. It should have been there other way around. I hate when a restaurant tries to make it look like you are getting a lot by putting a lot of pasta in place of the actual entree. Stay away from the eggplant parmigiana. Not worth it. Flavor wise, it was acceptable but not good enough to make up for the stingy portion size. If I wanted to order spaghetti, I would have. The worst part about this is that I am a diabetic so, I ordered the eggplant instead of a pasta dish but they have way more pasta than the eggplant. Stick with the pizza and baked ziti. --------------------- This is the real deal! Finally, great NY pizza. I'm so excited. I just tried some slices and they were great. You can tell this is real NY pizza because they sliced the sausage instead of crumbling the sausage like all of the fake NY pizza places in CA. They also have Sicilian pizza which nobody around here has. That's what I'll be trying next.

Found this place on instagram, and immediately came here once I found out it was close by. This is by no means the best pizza I have ever had, but it’s a pizza I can eat everyday. The crust is very airy, and crunchy. Very light, and when ordered well done, the slices are not that floppy. The cheese is like any other cheese, they claim to have whole milk cheese, which is nice but a little on the oily side (not a complaint just an observation) The pepperonis were absolutely fire. Eating it out of the oven burnt my entire mouth, but it was fine. The sauce… It needs improvement. I feel like that is what is holding it back from it being a 7.8 Pizza to an 8.3 pizza (For the one bite fans) It lacks some tang. Not a lot of depth with the sauce, hopefully it can be tinkered with later on, but hey if it ain’t broke don’t fix it. The restaurant was nice and small. Hole in the wall vibes. Employees were cool. It looked like the owner was there which is a crazy Green Flag if I’ve seen one. For the pizza posted above I paid 26 for it, left a 4 dollar tip. Cashier hooked me with a fountain drink, nice guy. I will certainly keep coming back to the place for it does NYC Pizza Justice. Solid 8/10 for me

🍕😮 Oh my pizza-loving taste buds! 🍕😄 I recently had the pleasure of devouring the most mind-blowing pizza at Brooklyn City Market in Laguna Niguel. Let me tell you, as a proud pizza maestro who has owned several pizza places in Colorado for 14 years, I thought I knew it all. But boy, was I wrong! 😅👨‍🍳 After sinking my teeth into a slice of their heavenly creation, I had to admit defeat. Brooklyn City Market's pizza is on a whole other level! 🚀🍕🤯 From the first bite, I could taste the passion and expertise that went into every cheesy, saucy masterpiece. The crust was perfectly crispy, the toppings were fresh and bursting with flavor, and the overall pizza experience was like a symphony of deliciousness. 🎵🤤 I have to hand it to them, this pizza has completely shattered my belief that my own creations were the best. Brooklyn City Market, you have won me over! 🏆🍕❤️ If you're in the area and craving an out-of-this-world pizza experience, don't miss out on this gem. Trust me, your taste buds will thank you! 😁👌"

In my search for Orange County's best pizza, it took too long to get here.

As is usual for me, my first time at a place, I order the cheese slice or a cheese pie as the baseline. Here, they had a great lunch special of 2 slices and a drink for under $10 so I was able to enjoy both a cheese and pepperoni slice.

The cheese slice was well above average, but not the highlight. Great slice though. The crust is great, delicious sauce, and quality cheese. The pepperoni slice, however, was a 10/10. It hit every note of a perfect pep slice. I truly can't wait to return just to have this again. On the menu there are also a variety of creative and delicious looking pies, I look forward to trying them all in the future based on the quality of the pizza I tried.

The service was great, nothing but truly friendly employees who were also genuinely interested in your thoughts. A very young staff on a Saturday and it was pleasant to have a youthful group provide such friendly, positive, attentive, and prompt service.

This is preference, but for me it was an ideal atmosphere for a proper pizzeria. Relatively small and basic, but to me, that's what it should be. Few frills, it's just about the food, and as a Brooklyn joint the proper amount of simple NY theming. It's very much a "your neighborhood pizza shop" vibe and I can't compliment that enough....it's all I want, it's all that is needed.

If you're in South Orange County and you're a pizza person, this place is a must. I'm still compiling, but it's quite possible this is the best NY pizza in OC.

My compliments to the owners and staff, I look forward to returning in the...

Brooklyn City Pizzeria delivers on its name! It is the best NY style pizza in Southern California and they offer many other dishes, like garlic knots, pasta and hoagies that are just like you would find back east.

As amazing as the food is, the owners and staff place a special emphasis on customer service. The place is small, and gets very busy - but even in the midst of all the lively chaos, the staff will gladly assist customers and bring their food to the car for them. This is especially true for seniors and mothers with young children or babies. While sitting in the car eating a slice while it was still hot (‘cause, why not?) I watched as a young employee carried a pie for an older gentleman that needed assistance and patiently escorted him across the parking lot without rushing him, until they arrived at his car, where the employee set the food carefully on the passenger seat and made sure the gentlemen got into the car ok. That is such an unusual sight these days and I had to go back in the restaurant and give an additional tip to the employee for the care he provided.

Kudos to the husband and wife owners (who are from Brooklyn and Mahwah) for their vision, the obvious care they put into their food and the emphasis they have instilled in the staff for amazing customer service!!! Support this small business - they deserve...
